I got an Owners Manual on Saturday Page 2 contains the following Important Safety Information. NEVER drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs ALWAYS observe posted speed limits and never drive too fast for conditions ALWAYS use your seat belts and appropriate child restraint systems ALWAYS provide information about the proper use of vehicle safety features to all occupants of the vehicle So we have discussed drugs/alcohol recently and speeding is a constant theme, I am sure I have seen a post about seat belts BUT who gives their passenger a pre-drive safety demonstration .... Fitted the Porterfield Cryo front brake discs about a month ago, they are Brmebo blanks that they Cryo treat. Fitted the Porterfield R4 race pads the day before going to Rockingham and a refill of DOT5.1. It felt great on the road, massive breaking power. However on track after doing 3/4 laps at a time and leaving it 15/20 to cool or more by the end of the day got them glowing on a 2 hot lap and the pads melting. NO BRAKES AT ALL, and was a bit of a problem as I had just come to the end of the pit lane straight off the banked corner 4 at 120mph though the cones and drifted to a standstill. End of story - I stopped pissing around with standard discs and have ordered …

  18. At the beginning i used to tell them thats a Nissan 300ZX. Typical response. "Thats a Nissan!!!! When Nissan made such a car?" Well nowadays my answer is this.."Its a Z" Then they ask me "Made by whom?" Me: Its made by a Fairlady. Do I have to give more explanation? I believe that its better for them not to know what car is it. What u think?

How long do Iridium plugs last? I know the Nissan/NGK original plugs were good for 60,000miles but this seller on ebay says 250,000 for the iridium plugs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1864335304 I'm sceptical to say the least. Does anyone have the answer?. and - Shameless Plug - anybody want a catchy domain name? mine's for sale. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2058136155

Hi guys, This is how the story goes: I was driving along quite happily and the engine cuts out, IIRC the speed and revs dropped to 0 instantly, I might be wrong about that though, it might have just been wishful thinking - I was busy trying to get the bloody thing to a safe place with no vacuum assist on the brakes, no power steering, and no power! It wouldn't start up again until after 15 mins of cooling with the bonnet up. Suspected PTU; but I opened that up to fix it - all the connections seemed fine, I gave them all quite a good pull/wiggle. Where do I go from here? Could it be the CAS? The TPS seems okay, it was giving the correct voltage during t…

Got to get my clutch sorted out, it's driving me nuts and had many thoughts with the words "For Sale" reciently. Anyhow, bled the system many times, finally got a pressure system attached to force any air out (20psi from the tyre) and still no luck. It must be the master, slave clyinder or piping... I have no ideas left... Anyhow, I hear you can get an upgraded slave cylinder, (I already had the Nissan later model fitted years ago), from RPS I think... has anyone have anything like this and got any comment? (ie. does it help the hot/cold pedal adjustment problem or is it not worth it) Jez.
