Hi Guys, Bit of advice would be nice... I was driving my 300TT manual yesterday...after about 15 minutes of driving i was going down a hill and nailed the throttle in 2nd. At 7/7500 rpm the rev limiter cut in, but it cut in a lot harder than it has done before - it was almost as though some one had put put the brakes on... It was fine as soon as the limiter had cut in, running as usual. It gave me a bit of a fright though. The car has been fine ever since - no smoke, no funny noises, running exactly the same. What was it? Has anyone else experienced this? Someone's told me it could just be the car giving me a 'slap on the wrist' cos the turbos h…

Went to see a mate of mine who works at Graham Goode in Leicester to see what exhausts he could source, told him i fancied the Blitz one but wasnt impressed that its not fully stainless, he showed me a HKS super dragger but i told him i didnt like the exhaust comming out of just one side, so he looks into it and they do a super dragger with a box on either side, and it looks sweet so thats what im having. Then i notice dump valves on his screen, which i quite fancy too while im at it but i dont know the crack with these, do i have to get hard pipes first or will the HKS ones come with pipes as i will want them mounting mac1 style. Any ideas? B19RKS

Just back from holidays in Spain after doing 2700 trouble free miles. Took car out for spin this evening and after 3 miles the power steering got heavy, then the Oil Diff/Lights/Batterry lights came on and car overheated after a couple of secs. Stopped the car immediately and got a tow home. On inspection none of my belts are turning. Just got Water pump timing belt and fan belt done 3000 miles ago by nissan. The nut at the centre of my flywheel seems to be loose and is tipping of the fan. Is this nut the only thing keeping the flywheel on?? Is the timing belt also connected here somewhere. If the flywheel isnt turning is my timing belt turning? …

Hi I want to get an uprated engine oil cooler, I know the UK spec ones are better. But do people know of any other alternative sources? I have found that Serck Aviation make coolers, that are sold by an Aus Zed company. I am currently trying to find out how much they sell em for, to us! Mark

I am wondering what is behind the front bumper, when you take it of. Is there access to the interior of the front wing or is the front wing sealed off. The reason being is that I am wondering about alternative means of venting an intercooler, and wondered about Z3/M3 types in the front wing behind the wheel arch! Mark

Has neone ever tried racing an ant in their 300 ? The ant should have a massive weight advantage, and the exoskeleton should mean good aerodynamics. Six legs means better traction, so I reckon the ant would walk it !!

A human will never run as fast as an ant or be as strong relative to their respective bodyweights. I don't know why this is -if anyone knows I'd love to hear the explanation... This is one factor which made me think smaller engines were to a point more desirable. A smaller car should, other things being equal, handle better and give the driver more 'feel', but there are limits. Also, a larger object has a larger volume relative to it's surface area. This , I thought, would make cooling more of a problem in a larger engine, but as long as the engine doesn't get too hot, this should not make much difference, and as duffer has said, a larger engine has more displaceme…
