Hi I want to get an uprated engine oil cooler, I know the UK spec ones are better. But do people know of any other alternative sources? I have found that Serck Aviation make coolers, that are sold by an Aus Zed company. I am currently trying to find out how much they sell em for, to us! Mark

I am wondering what is behind the front bumper, when you take it of. Is there access to the interior of the front wing or is the front wing sealed off. The reason being is that I am wondering about alternative means of venting an intercooler, and wondered about Z3/M3 types in the front wing behind the wheel arch! Mark

Has neone ever tried racing an ant in their 300 ? The ant should have a massive weight advantage, and the exoskeleton should mean good aerodynamics. Six legs means better traction, so I reckon the ant would walk it !!

A human will never run as fast as an ant or be as strong relative to their respective bodyweights. I don't know why this is -if anyone knows I'd love to hear the explanation... This is one factor which made me think smaller engines were to a point more desirable. A smaller car should, other things being equal, handle better and give the driver more 'feel', but there are limits. Also, a larger object has a larger volume relative to it's surface area. This , I thought, would make cooling more of a problem in a larger engine, but as long as the engine doesn't get too hot, this should not make much difference, and as duffer has said, a larger engine has more displaceme…

Last one for now hopefully the more time i spend on here i can give somthing back to the forum. I have had my Z fully serviced. Spark plugs the lot. But every say 20 mins of running I will get the ocasional 60 secs of dodgy tick over. Like i am missing on a cyclinder or two. This once happened when i applied the barkes hard. E.G. When the engine had to work harder. Noramlly reving the engine will clear this problem. Any ideas? Thanks. Mike.

Me again, my Z pulls to the left do you think it is bent or do other people experince there Z's wide tires pulling them from the camber of the road. If i let go say at 70 on a dual carriage way i will be in the inside lane within probably say 5 seconds? Thanks. Mike. PS. I have had the full laser alignment joby job.

Hi there i have a 1991 TT jap import. As far as i no it is stock except for a visual mod of the rear light cluster that I have got blacked out. Anyway there are obviously the converters out there to solve my problem of topping out at 112MPH. Im off to brunting thorpe run way soon you see. But i woundered if there is a cheaper way. Like pulling a fuse or knocking of perhaps a pin on the ECU conectors. Anyone have any ideas as my Z has already blead me dry for the mo. Thanks!!!!!

Hi all, Has anyone out there had problems with either the oil pressure gauge or the sender? I find it hard to believe that my oil pressure can vary between about 10psi and 60psi under the same driving conditions. I'm not talking about idling versus driving, here, I mean when I'm actually going along. Generally, when I'm running down the motorway at 90'ish, she runs about 60psi. However, just lately, when I look one minute; it's reading 60psi like normal, then about 25psi the next (at the same revs, temp, etc). No problems with performance, smog from the rear or anything like that, so after initially sh*tting myself, I've resigned it to the gauge or sen…

This fcuker is leaking like buggery! Now I don't know yet without having a closer look if it's not fitted correctly(seemed to use more petrol straight out of the bodyshop?) or if the pipe is corroded. All I do know is it needs sorting asap as it's a) dangerous b) makin' me car stink and c) costing me sh1t loadsa money. Can you advise from personal experience mate? ------------------ "Life sucks.
