Found a possible reason to why my Z won't rev over 5k. Doing the CAS diagnostics i get 10V off pin 2 and 0V off pin 1 when you should be gettin upto 5 off each apparently. ( http://www.z32.org/html/crankanglesensor.shtml ) Trouble is i dont really trust my diagnostic skills and probably think its me thats wrong not the CAS! Is there anyone i can borrow a CAS from down here in the wiltshire area? Thanks Rob

hello all, im looking to get a non-tubby 300 for a daily driver & was just wondering what there like. do they have any common reliability problems, maybe higher milage ones etc... Iam going under the assumption that theres less in them to go wrong and the engine is not being worked as hard. I dont really know that much about the N/A internals, but i will not be wanting to modify it engine wise as i will be using it as a commuter. Does anyone know what MPG the n/a gets, im moping it might be better that the tubby?? Oh...and can someone please tell me the engine/car code for an NA is????? (the G32 thingy) its good to see that you guys are keeoing these …

I'm pretty new to this forum and new to nissan z32's. My last car was an 86 Celica ST162, the front wheel drive version of the Celica Turbo Alltrac. Anyways, I just bought a 90 non-turbo z32 and was wondering if the stock throttle bodies are a decent size for sufficient flow. I know that on the older VG30E engines, from the older Z, a throttle body from a s13 or s14 (240sx) is a significant upgrade. I currently do not have a caliper to measure the bore of the VG30DE throttle body but I do know for a fact that my 2.0 3SGE Celica engine has a larger T.B. Does anyone have the size of a N/A z32 T.B.? Would the VG30DE benifit from a larger T.B. or does flow well as…

Having to rebuild me sisters Golf 1.4 at mo, bit different than doing the z. It is a 1998 with 52000 on clock and has had 2 broken pistons - unbelievable or what! Got most of the bits but still need to get the torque settings for most of the engine (main bearings, big ends, sump etc.). Anyone know where I can find them. Must be somewhere on the web.

I have a Zed imported into New Zealand from Japan, and I am trying to locate a new fog lamp following a car park encounter. The interesting thing is that this car has two bulbs in each cluster - one for fog light, the other for side-light - whereas the US ones have just one blub... I am wondering whether this is a mod required for NZ market, and whether UK zeds are similar (and so I might be able to get one, while I'm in UK on hol's)... Can anyone help?

Have been offered a 280ZX manual gearbox. Will this fit My SWB 300ZXTT (auto , but gearbox isnt working.) The guy who is selling said he will also do the conversion. He has all ready built a spanking 280zx from two crashed ones and seems quite handy. He says the 280's manual gearbox was the same as what is used in the V6 300ZX. Is this correct or is he talking about the 84-89 300zx?? And while on the topix is their any difference between the TT and NA manual box on the 90+ZX??
