Missfire / hestiation

Just picked up my first fast car(a zed naturally) But it has a missfire at low revs and jerks a little.

But it also has a slight hesitation at 4500rpm as well. Wandering if the two are connected?

Hello Ivan,

Mines done that before and it turned out to be a loose coil pack. Give all the connectors you can get to a good old clean up.

Good luck,

Vijay

clean up all the the coilpack connectors and injector connectors, also the CAS and PTU connectors with electrical contact cleaner. It WILL take along time and you will lose some skin, but i almost guarentee every one of the plugs is packed up with so much green crap you wouldnt believe it eek.gif

where is the coil pack and the CAS unit located on a UK Manual TT

you got 6 coil packs matey!! 1 per plug, in between the intakes of the inlet manifold.

CAS on the right of the engine (as you look at it from the front of the car) round unit at the front of the head

PTU on opposite side
