Guys, I would like to upgrade my brakes to a Skyline set up(Calipers, Rotors) but I'm not sure whether I should be looking for R33 GTR brakes or R33 GTS brakes??? Is there any difference between the brakes from these two models (GTS/GTR) with regards to their performance or fitting on a Z? please shed some light. Thanks! "AMMAR"

I have an oil leak on my 93 UK TT. The oil is dripping down onto the power steering pump from what looks like the back half of the front passenger side cam cover. Could anyone maybee verify this for me from their own personal experience of this problem. I have only recently bought my 300 and am close to throwing in the towel with the car. Any help appreciated. Cheers John Crisp

We have a 1986 300zx that sat in the garage for 2 years. There was nothing wrong when we stopped driving it, now the clutch will flip back and forth, but no pressure to keep it in either position. I was told we need to bleed it, but want some more advice - trying to sell it now. Thanks, JP

What's the best oil to use for a jap import TT? I dont know what oil has been used before, hopefully synthetic. I've done nearly 3,000 miles so far since I bought it ,when it had an oil and filter change. Is Mobil 1 best or Castrol Magnatex,or are they all pretty good? Sorry if I sound'thick',but I've never had a performance car before and this is a big learning curve for me. Cheers, F.T.

Whilst driving my 300 i came to a railway crossing, turned off the engine (to save the enviroment!!!), tryed to start my 300 and it didnt want to know, just turning over, after a while the battery went flat so i called a friend for a jump start. When i finally got it started it was idleing erratically and my electric fans were running continuously. every time i put my foot on the throtle the engine tryed to cut out but then roared into life whilst chucking out loads of black smoke.Managed to nurse it home after doing a whole tank of fuel(i only drove about 20miles). Left the car over night, jumped in it in the morning and it was fine. But now everytime i shut the door …

Before we swapped to the new server, someone mentioned how badly 911 drivers take a thumping - you're so right :) Sat on the line at lights on a roundabout waiting to join the M3 I see this 911 swap lanes to get behind me - of course, that's fighting talk. Lights went green and he dropped away so fast I thought he'd stalled! This motorway slip is basically a big long S-bend, and by the time I started merging with the M-way I'd almost forgotten about him, but just as I started approaching legal speeds again he came roasting past me like Satan himself was chomping on his arse. I was only on the M-way for a one-junction hop so I let him go, but as it happenned he t…

I like the "Oh where did you come from!" approach to my burn offs! Watching the rear view mirror on the A55 and I see the red Fiat(First in all trouble) Coupette closing like an exocet missile. Finger on OD button hovering...wait for it...wait...wait...NOW!!! 10 +'ve G on the go pedal and just as he approaches my rear quarter I say CYA! He not happy though...chased me all the way to Menai Bridge where he turned off....ahhhhhhhhh. :D However my car was reading 140 mongs per hour on the speedo but Techtom was giving me more like 125...arse speed sensor basically. I've tried counting sheep at around 125 and trust me...no way! :D :D Lik…

To check your HICAS (just incase you feel the urge) this is the procedure, not sure if it works i havn't tried it yet. Procedure: 1.Ignition switch 'off' manual tranny in neutral or a/t in 'p' 2.start the engine 3.within 10 seconds after turning the key to 'on', start the engine, turn steering wheel from left to right 20 degrees from neutral 5 times or more & pump the brakes 5 times. then press the brake pedal again to enter test mode. 4.turning the steering wheel left or right past 20 degrees will cause the rear wheels to turn (~1 degree) 5.Drive the car forward 15 feet under 9mph to enter the full diagnostic mode. 6. The HICAS dash light will flash …

I have had ticking noises coming from under my car which could just be heard inside the car for several weeks,The last few times ive been out its been getting worse,I took it to a mechanic who I no who had a good look, the noise is like a blowing noise which was coming from the turbo/exhaust manifold area he tightened and checked all the nuts and bolts he could get to but there was no difference, his diagnosis was it looks like a gasket or even head gaskets (please no) has anyone had this problem or had to fix there exhaust manifold ,please tell me its not an engine out job . :( :( CheerZ Terry
