I've been to see a beautiful zx today, but there are some things about it that are worrying me. There is juddering when braking, the discs & pads look ok, could there be a problem with the abs? There is also a slight vibration when driving the car, it doesn't seem to be caused by the road surface. Also, there is a sort of buzzing noise which seems to be coming from the cam belt area which is relative to the engine speed, the belt has been changed quite recently, but the owner said the noise has always been there..., I havn't heard it on other zx's! I would be very grateful for anybody's advice, :)

Sometimes I think governments are evil overlords and sometimes I think they are just stupid. For example, their latest wizard wheeze appears to be to use hedgehogs to teach kids to cross the roads safely. Aaaaargh. That's like using Kurt Cobain as a spokesthing for the Samaritans. Good Grief. And worse than that, the soundtrack is by those tight-trousered, big-teethed Aussie falsetto queens the Bee Gees. What better group to really engage with today's UK pre-teens. FFS. My life already. PPS please try not to drive over too many helpless animals - the slippery mess doesn't do anything for your roadholding. PPPS http://www.sttiggywinkles.org.uk…

Not sure I'm doing the right thing here. Actually, I've pretty much convinced myself it's the best thing to do, but I'm hardly being objective because I'm telling myself what I want to hear (schizophrenia is b'stard like that). I'm waffling. Does anyone else find their 300 calling them a pussy and demanding more modification?! Fantastic motor that it is, I knew it had potential for reasonable improvement, which is why I bought one. But it seems to be never ending: I drive it a while, I'm happy, then something doesn't feel right - usually "it could pull harder". Up til recently I was pretty happy - SE's coilovers, some phatt 18's and big f*ckoff AP brakes had me flying aro…

Hello all, I am looking to buy a new car, and have looked at the supra and 300zx. I want the twin turbos and am looking into this range of car as my brother drives an m3 evo and I am wanting to keep up with him! (if not beat him) Any way, I am moving form an import mr2 (non turbo) and have come accross a 300zx fairlady z twin turbo. 1993 Kreg 80thousand miles ( although it is a japaneese import) cloth trim, gloss black, targa top, atermarket wheels, superb condition body wise, at £7000. Is this reasonable, and what should I look out for? I will be test driving again on Sunday 20/10/02 at 2pm so would appreciate any advice etc before then. Took the car for a…

Just had a look at a blokes NSX. £16k import. About 50k miles. J reg black with an unmarked body, 17" wheels and dinner plate sized drilled Brembos on the front. The interior was so Z like apart from no room in the back. Sounded great too. Have to say it looked gorgious up close too. Didnt get to drive it tho. Mind you said bloke was sorely impressed with my Z at less than half the cost. Whats the view from those in the know?

Anyone tell me how to clean out my sidelight lenses. They look a bit dirty and obviously have chlorophyl type organisms growing in there but I dont want to split the moulding. Any ideas? Willie

anyone on here fitted the clear rear lenses that are offered on ebay. Are they easy to fit?

Andyduff was dead right. It aint brake pads clonking. Its the pivot bolts in the poly bush inserts. I re checked the pivot bolts on the tension rods and one took a quarter turn and the other where most noise came from took the best part of a full turn. Result no more clonks when you reverse and brake. And I thought I tightened them up properly when I did the poly bushes! Willie

here's an odd one, every so often when i boot down in me Auto TT then the boost just doens't kick-in, its only happened 3 times now, and i'd normally be doing about 40/50mph when i boot it to overtake, anyone else had this, its nothing to do with safety boost or something has it? anyway any ideas much appreciated. Just changed the brake pads for some yummy ebc red-dots but man the brakes in the Z are a load of s**t aren't they? did i read somewhere that the skyline calpiers and disks can be fitted? anyway happy Z'ed in, especially now we starting to get some ice on the roads in the morning, so come on then who's gonna be driving there Z over winter?....... …

What is going on? I thought that with the upgrade of the forum things would go from strength to strength but I have to say it's gone backwards! At least on the old setup there were loads of fights, fall outs, pics and funny posts that kept it interesting. Since we moved over I have to say IMHO it's gone sour! No more hilarious threads, no more daft pics and to be perfectly honest a loss of posts from hardcore members it's nothing short of fcuking sh1te!!! New forum has been up and running now for a few weeks and it strikes me that it's going downhill sharpish. Die hard techies are propping the whole thing up with boring tech talk but the whol…
