Had to post just to gloat, and seeing as my cheque for membership hasn't cleared yet I can only post here! Just got a new mobile valeting company to do the cars in my office car park. They only charge £15 fo a complete wash n wax, vac out, polish inside (including glass!), black the tyres, empty the ashtray and leave an air-freshener in there. A good price, but coz I'm the boss and I gave them the business I get my ZX done for FREE EVERY WEEK, YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!:D :D :D :p :D

can anyone suggest any springs that will lower my Z 40mm or more? lowest so far are MJP's at 35mm but don't want a gap at all between rubber and arches! (just put 18's on) .......... and I know it will bottom out etc but I want that slammed look. cheers.

I'm thinking of buying a 300ZX, probably a 2+2 model (due to occasional need to transport 2 small children), but reading reviews and things it's unclear to me which types boast 2+2 configurations. Are all types (non-turbo, TT, targa etc.) available as 2+2, or is it only certain ones. Or am I being really stupid and ALL 300ZX's are 2+2s? Can someone clarify this for me. Oh, and the next question is - just how practical/impractical are the rear seats in the 2+2? Many thanks, Kess

Can anyone tell me what a flywheel looks like. I've found one bit that I think looks like a flywheel. Its bolted to the back of the engine by 8 bolts. It has a further 8 holes outside where the 8 bolts go. It has cogs on the outside. Its 12.5 inches diameter and weighs only 2kg. Is that it or is that something to do with the gearbox ????? i have just finished rebuilding the engine on my 90 z32 tt the unit is back in but im having trouble finding out where the pipes on the right hand egrc solenoid valve go to can anyone help cheers guys lloydox

G'day folks!! I've got a '91 tt jap import that is currently alternating between two faults. The most common is that she's ticking over at around 2000 revs, she'll do this for a week or so then switch to a second fault which is even more infuriating, this being that after the car has attained whatever speed the position of the accelerator pedal determines, rather than cruise nicely at that speed, the revs will dip at half second (approx) intervals by about 400 revs untill I accelerate or de-celerate at which point she does both fine, until, the speed levels out again. She'll do this for about 3 days or so then, revert back to the high-revving fault again!!! Anyone …

i have the chance to buy a 300 zx twin turbo 90 g reg, will it say on the log book if its import or uk model, is an import a bad buy, its got 2 owners from new and it very nice condition with full leather and cd player and 18 in alloys. thank rob

looking 2 buy an engine stand or i might make one using rescourses at work!!! but how much does the z32tt engine weigh?? have seen a stand in screwfix for bout 35 squids holds 750lbs is this strong enough??

My aerial doesn't go all the way down so at the weekend I stripped it all out and lubricated it all with WD40 but it still seems to not go down fully. I stripped all the motor out to see if anything was worn but there was nothing. It goes down if you turn the radio off and then back on and off again really quick. Please help me. Ivan :(

Hello everyone I've owned a Porsche 928s 4.7 litre for one year and as it is now in prime condition i am thinking of selling it and moving sideways to a 300zx What can everyone tell me about looking for when i buy one,has anyone any pictures of one interior and exterior,any inherent problems with the 300zx and does anyone want to swap a Porsche 928s for one??? I bought (second hand) a set of Sequential HKS BOV with hard pipes for 90 quid. Thats the older version of HKS not the Super Sequential. Anyway...I spend few hours installing them and now my boost doesnt go over 8.5 to 9 PSI. What happen is this. 1st attempt: Install HKS BOV without removing stock recurculation valves. So now I have 4 BOV. Boost goes fine as much as I want. Problem: BOV does not sound good because of the stock recurculation valves. 2nd attempt I remove the vacuum from rec.valves and i used it for HKS ones. This means that I have cancelled the stock ones...Right? Problem: Boost does not go over 8.5-9 PSI. Why is …

My zed has gone all night-rider on me and started flashing its HICAS light when i start it up every now and then. As its an import and I don't have a manual - can anyone translate what my car's trying to tell me? Is it a fluid level warning, cos it seems intermittent? And if so - how do you top it up? Should I carry on drving it when it lights up? So many questions, so few answers. I guess in time i'll be able to answer a few myself. As another totally unrelated point - has anyone seen XXX yet? Saw it last night and have to say it has some incredible stunts in it. Lots of Freestyle MX action - was it Mike Metzeler or someone who did the stunts? …

Took the Zed out for the first time in a couple of weeks yesterday, and went on a bit of a blast - started noticing that the car pulled nicely in first and second, but when it got to third it seemed like the revs were rising disproportionately to my speed, and I felt I needed to change up at about 80-ish mph. The problem didn't appear in 4th or 5th either. Is third on the Zed quite a short gear, or could my clutch be slipping? Looked back through the receipts and it was only changed about 13k miles ago by SE. Anyone have any ideas how much it is for a new clutch and fitting? :confused:

Has anyone replaced this? I know I've read lots of postings but I'm looking at changing mine and the Nissan FAST CD lists it as a kit: 37521-33P25 Nissan UK want £156 for it, but it is in UK stock so it's overnight delivery. How did you solve the problem and what did it cost? Ta Tim

Wohhoooo I finally got the inlet manifold off to get to the housings below to try and see where my oil leak is. Can anyone tell me what the housing is like a rocker cover right about the turbo, that has 8 6mm (10mm spanner size), I didnt have time to get it off today as 2 oh the bolts are akward to access and Asda awaited me with the wife so i had to abandon my pride and joy. The housing i am talking about is like a rocker cover or maybee it is? Anyone help me. Cheers John Crisp
