Can failing recircs (and I do mean failing badly cause boost leaks?

Yes! The recircs, when open, have a path from the high pressure side (outlet) of the turbo, back to the low pressure side (inlet) of the turbo. If they have failed in anything other than the closed position you will get a boost leak...

DOH i just fitted hks blow off valves today and lost all boost but after reading this i found my mistake as i removed my recircs and joined the two hoses but now i see i have to block all four off as my blow off valves are on hard pipes:o

"Sandwich Plate vs Oil Tree for Sender Placement"

Tried to relocate the Oil Pressure sender using a sandwich plate but i'm not liken it much.
So i'm looking to relocate it again and thought a good place was the capped off branch at the end of the oil tree.
Does anyone know the size and where to find an adaptor so i can put the oil sender here ?

ok,
For some reason the oil pump isnt pulling up oil from the sump.
Spoke to Jimmer and he suggested to back fill it from the other side as the pump may be a bit dry.
Need to head now but will give that a bash tomorrow.

So i've pulled off the sandwich plate and we have zero oil ?
What the hell is going on as i've now emptied the engine so i can take the filter off again.

So think i have discovered my oil pressure issue .
Thinking it may be a Sender issue, i unscrewed the sender expecting a face full of oil and nothing.
Slightly pannicking i undone the sump plug to get a full handle full which is great.

The issue i think is an air trap on the T section of the adaptor i used on the sandwich plate show below.
Going to remove the adaptor and see if oil flows from it, if it doesnt i'll need to take the sandwich plate back off and see whats the issue is.
If there is no oil at the sandwich plate then we have other issues.

If you have a broken loom soldering on new plugs is a waste of time & money.Whilst you can,Buy & fit a new engine harness along with a new set of series 2 ethanol resistant injectors from a reputable source.This will future proof against break downs & running faults.
