Hi everyone...I'm hoping some of you people might be able to help me out. I've got a 94 Zed, and recently I found out from my local Nissan dealer that my front tie end bush, and rear subframe bush were knackered. Nissan are quoting me a few £££ short ot £1200. I've found a place in Tamworth, West Midlands, that will do the same job using something called poly bushes for a total of £860. I just wondered two things: firstly, is fitting poly bushes a good idea? I've seen lots of posts on various sites advising to use genuine Nissan parts, so I don't want to get stung on a poor quality repair, to then find out I need the job done again by Nissan. Secondly, does an…

Now I guess everyone that bought the racelogic traction control has it working I ws wondering what are your thoughts on it. How exactly does it transform the handling of the car? does it take some of the fun out of driving around roundabouts in the wet? anything weird happened? engines blown up at all? I don't think ill be purchasing it, just interested in how it would feel,

I feel this may well be the killer. I have some rust developing under the HICAS unit under the bonnet. I think that in one small area it may have gone all the way through. Is this repairable? I think it is. Take out the HICAS pump/solinoid, what ever it is clear the rust that is surface and cut out the small part that isnt and patch it with some good metal. Round that area doesnt look too structural its a fair bit away from the suspention turret. Any idea people? Is what I said plausable?

All - I'm looking to buy a 300ZX TT, in the london area. I was wondering if there was anyone around this area that would be willing to come along to a viewing or two with me to give some expert advice. I'm not really after "those are ruuuude alloys" (I can figure that myself ;)) - more interested in someone who can spot bad turbos/exhausts and who can tell me how the car *does* perform in relation to how it *should*. If you're interested, please lemme know, and give me an idea of what kind of money you'd want to come along for a test? Cheers, Russ.

Can anyone help???? Sometimes when I driving my Z under hard acceleration it will cutout and die normally at around 6000rpm. All power is lost until you come off the accelerator. It is similar to what happens when a rev limiter cuts in. It is rather worrying not to mention being very embarrassing:o Cheers.

info re warped disks - or not as the case maybe - On my third set of front pads, and when they get about two thirds worn, the car behaves like the disks are warped. Change the pads for new ones and the vibrations dissapear completely. It's happened on 2 sets so far, nissan oem and green stuff - so if you think you've got warped disks, try changing the pads first. You might save some money. And before anyone tells me to upgrade etc, the car's an na. cheerz Jack

Guys, I would like to upgrade my brakes to a Skyline set up(Calipers, Rotors) but I'm not sure whether I should be looking for R33 GTR brakes or R33 GTS brakes??? Is there any difference between the brakes from these two models (GTS/GTR) with regards to their performance or fitting on a Z? please shed some light. Thanks! "AMMAR"

I have an oil leak on my 93 UK TT. The oil is dripping down onto the power steering pump from what looks like the back half of the front passenger side cam cover. Could anyone maybee verify this for me from their own personal experience of this problem. I have only recently bought my 300 and am close to throwing in the towel with the car. Any help appreciated. Cheers John Crisp

We have a 1986 300zx that sat in the garage for 2 years. There was nothing wrong when we stopped driving it, now the clutch will flip back and forth, but no pressure to keep it in either position. I was told we need to bleed it, but want some more advice - trying to sell it now. Thanks, JP

What's the best oil to use for a jap import TT? I dont know what oil has been used before, hopefully synthetic. I've done nearly 3,000 miles so far since I bought it ,when it had an oil and filter change. Is Mobil 1 best or Castrol Magnatex,or are they all pretty good? Sorry if I sound'thick',but I've never had a performance car before and this is a big learning curve for me. Cheers, F.T.

Whilst driving my 300 i came to a railway crossing, turned off the engine (to save the enviroment!!!), tryed to start my 300 and it didnt want to know, just turning over, after a while the battery went flat so i called a friend for a jump start. When i finally got it started it was idleing erratically and my electric fans were running continuously. every time i put my foot on the throtle the engine tryed to cut out but then roared into life whilst chucking out loads of black smoke.Managed to nurse it home after doing a whole tank of fuel(i only drove about 20miles). Left the car over night, jumped in it in the morning and it was fine. But now everytime i shut the door …

Before we swapped to the new server, someone mentioned how badly 911 drivers take a thumping - you're so right :) Sat on the line at lights on a roundabout waiting to join the M3 I see this 911 swap lanes to get behind me - of course, that's fighting talk. Lights went green and he dropped away so fast I thought he'd stalled! This motorway slip is basically a big long S-bend, and by the time I started merging with the M-way I'd almost forgotten about him, but just as I started approaching legal speeds again he came roasting past me like Satan himself was chomping on his arse. I was only on the M-way for a one-junction hop so I let him go, but as it happenned he t…
