The system has been bled more times than I've had hot dinners and it's still reacting like I've got air inside when warm (not even hot), the clutch almost disengages or has twice. Also when cold the pedal is right on the floor to disengage. Yes, it's been bled normally, power bled, had a 300 pro bleed it, front of car raised and not raised etc etc, one time I alternated between top and bottom 6+ times with loads of fluid. I can only assume one of the boosters is failing... there is no fluid leaking that I can see. Any idea how to work out which one... And yes, they were both replaced already, but about 5-6 years ago maybe longer? If it's the slave I'm temp…

Hi guy`s have an observation to dicuss about ecu upgrades done by a UK tuning company. (No Names ) Have dealt with 2 Zed`s in a fortnight which have "Boost Upgrades" prior to me dealing with them and both detting like crazy! On both cars the Actuators had been connected together and bleed jets fitted, the install looking very neat and using crimp type pipe connectors. However on both cars the standard eprom was in place and the safety boost solenoids disconnected. On both cars fitting a corret upgraded eprom and rearranging the pipework to use boost jets as apposed bleed jets sorted the detting also I reconnected the safety boost solenoids. The …

Just done 750 miles over the weekend from Friday till last night. Took the Z to join some friends on a pilgrimage of driving spirituality with a modded Scooby STI, a stock BMW 330 diesel Sport driven by an ex Scooby driver (and have to forgive me bro for dropping out with his Boxter cos he had to work the weekend.) Forget the Nurburgring if you are in the north half of the country you have to go to the far north west Scottish Highlands. Fabulous roads, loads of sweeping S bends, snow covered mountains and awesome scenery. Nobody about if you go outside the tourist season. Generally only yourself and the odd sheep at any risk. While most of the country was batter…

Rolling road used in my case was a Bosch model which indeed gives rwhp also but the flywheel figures are the ones printed out.In my case the rear wheel figures are unfortunately out of memory as it hold only 10 runs and these are since long passed since my dyno. But some interesting facts anyway: -the transmission losses, measured after the run ,with the clutch depressed are adapted if the power is increased. Indeed , as a stock car with say 100 hp is tuned to 150 hp some 15% or 20 hp are said to be transmission losses. If that car is tuned again to 200 hp then it would be wrong to assume the losses still to be 20 hp ; BUT this is what is measured as the c…

Hi, Does anybody know the real answer? Is it because of tension put on the lenses? Is it because we slam the heavy tailgate down? Does anyone know of a way of stopping it happening? Is the answer out there? Mark, currently calling Mulder and Scully!!!

Searched here and found Chris0r / Clarkey http://217.158.136.46/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13664&highlight=battery which ended up at saying any 12v battery with 500 ah will be fine. And another thread which said J-spec terminals are different size to UK. My battery just died - any other advice? Cheers - Gio

Hello guys, My pc has now got the above virus and I don't know how to get rid of it. Norton finds it when the machine boots and says it will close down the machine. I can boot up in safe mode and then go into Norton and do a scan. It finds it and tells me to use the Norton rescur disks (me being stupid, I never made any before hand and now they would be useless), and it will now close windows. Has anyone any idea how I can sort this withought formatting the drive? What would happen if I made new rescue disks from a pc I just loaded windows on? what info would be lost??? what is a memory virus? Thanks Vijay

Guys and Galls, Looking for opinions on aftermarket alloys ... which ones have you seen on Zeds that look the bizzo? Links to pictures appreciated. I'm just not happy with 16 inches (now, I know what you're thinking!!), but it's all about circumference:D As we all know, deep-down! Looking for some 18s, not sure what to go for. So far, have though about ATS Planets (although I can't find a distributor) and OZ Superleggera (although I'm not wholly convinced) - anyone got 'em? So, opinions sought:confused: CheerZ, John.

I recently removed my inlet manifold to access the passenger side rocker cover. All rebuilt now the oil is still dripping onto the a/cond pump. It appears only to leak when cold making me think its a brittle cam seal, heat softening the seal with the engine running. Anyone ever experienced this b4. Any help appreciated.. Cheers John Crisp

FFS don't believe it having to post bad shit again. Some twat pranged into my car this morning, totally his fault, I was stationary  My new bumper is pretty ****ed and headlamp, but more importantly now the car is not boosting. I am getting to the second line on the boost guage and my guage is reading -5 (jap measurement kgcm2 or whatever it is). Could the prang have caused this, or have my turbos seized unluckly at the same time. I have had a look under the bumper and it looks like one of the pipes into the intercooler is being squezed, could this be the problem? I have done an ecu check and getting 55. Is it safe to carry on driving i…
