rear discs & pads

I need to replace my rear pads and discs. Standard Nissan parts or is there a cost effective upgrade?

I just put new standard pads on and they came in at 30ish. This was from A jays in kent. There our local third party parts provider. Just gives you an idea of costs!!!!

IMO there is NO point in upgrading the rear brakes. If you brake harder, more weight gets transferred to the front wheels - hence less grip on the rear so maybe a rear brake downgrade would be good? LOL I'm off to put grease on my rear pads LOL

An old Triumph owners manual actually suggested that if you found that the rear drum brake sqeeked then you should apply a 'thin layer' of grease to the inside of the drum. Makes you wonder how any of our dads survived!?!?

I'm with Andy. I put metal matrix on the rear of mine and couldn't tell the difference. Waste of money to get anything other than standard.

Agree with Duffer and Hairy wink.gif

Just upgrade with the 3G grooved ones, they are cheaper than stock, around £160 all in.
