MY ZED WAS HAD FIRE DAMAGE I HAVE CHANGED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING INCL WIRING LOOM ON THE CAR BUT IT DONT START........I HAVENT CHECKED THE ECU MAYBE THATS MESSED UP OR COULD IT BE MY ALARM/IMMOBILISER........ I THINK IT MAY JUST BE MY MECHANIS BEING LAZY COS WHEN EVER I GO TO HIM HE SAYS EVERYTHING IS CHANGED AND SHOULD START IN A DAY OR TWO........ ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS ON HOW I MAY GET IT STARTED OR ANY CHECKS I COULD DO COS I AINT GOT A CLUE AND MY MECHANIC KNOWS THAT AND I THINK HES TAKIN THE P***S COS I KNOW HE IS GOOD....... HES WORKED ON PLENTY OF ZEDS.... MAINLY BODYWORK THOUGH ANY HELP IS MUCHAPPRECIATED

Can anyone recommend a garage for servicing the zed in the Hampshire area?. Have had it main dealer serviced up till now but would rather use a Specialist?. If I can't find a place then I'll probably go back to main dealer.

k, basically im transferring down to a job in london and as much as i love my zed i dont want to begin with the hassle of london traffic and have opted to walk to work. its a black 1990 2+2 tbar manual non-turbo. 54,000miles (bout 84kkm) i imported it myself from japan and have all the documents. I love this car and i know anyone that comes to see it will buy it. A lot of money has been spent on it, not as much as the likes of macca but a fair few thousand. It has a full japanese bodykit. Makes the car look amazing, the front bumper i love as its a classic jap mean looking front. Also large rear spoiler, makes the car look really good. Very sport…

Hi all. As some of you may remember a few months ago I was involved in a smash and my car was subsequently written off. I have been made several offers by way of compensation and the best offer to date is £6000. In view of the fact that I had just spent thousands having the engine re-built with new turbos, fitted an upgraded auto box, new bembros, scorpion ss exhaust with de-cat pipes, se chipped ecu, tsw alloys etc etc……..I stand to loose a small fortune. Who reckons these cars are seriously nice to look at ? There have been at least 2 different versions, and both look really nice to me. They also have nice engines, I believe. If I couldn't have a Nissan I would defo buy one.

Had fully closure yesterday added to thx Z ,ive got a toad Ai606 , so wanted the modules for shutting the windows added . Anywaz go to pick the Z up and the fitter backs the car out of the workshop, i get in with delight and start her up ..... to find the HICAS and ANTI-LOCK lights on the dash board light up like a xmas tree no power steering or nothing , so i go back in and tell him he just looks at me a bit lossed and shouts his colleague to help me so he checks the fuse boxes and to his dismay its in japenese and he aint got a clue what to do next , so i ring jeffTT (thx by the way much appreciated) and he tells the fitter what to do so eventually i…

got a slight misfire on the z so i did a search on the forum and told me to remove the coilpacks one by one to c a drop in rpm. so i did this and every one was showing a drop in rpm, but i had my doubts with one of them!! i put a spark plug in and fired it up and there was a spark??? so now i am scratching my head is it the injectors?? also where the misfire is coming from there is a slight rattle when i rev bit like a lazy tappet!! not sure what it is, just rememberd i also put a screwdriver on to the injectors and they all want tat tat tat is it ok to drive like this till i get it sorted?? could it b a duff plug?? any help or comments greatly…

I drive a G reg import 300zx twin turbo with an auto box. When I come to a temporary stop, say at the traffic lights should I shift to neutral and then use the hand brake? I think I should because ….. I am racing around too fast, see the lights at green and go for it! But they change so I throw out the anchor and stop with 2mm to spare. How I repaired my Exaust for £10 My exaust was sounding bad but then it suddenly got very loud, upon examining the underneath I found that both pipes between the Cats and the rear box were both sheared in two. Here is a picture of one of them after I had cleaned it up with a wire brush after I bent back the metal shroud. PIC1 below I had a look around my local Car bits shop and they had some sheet stainless steel sold under the Gun Gum brand which I got and I decided to also get some jubilee clips, 4 x 40-60 and 2 x 75-95. Hi, my side lights have stopped working, I think its a fuse as I was playing with the head light switch wires (wiring in a fog light), but I dont know where the fuse box is. I have checked the box with relays and fuses on the near side inner wing. The head lamps are OK. Help please. Thanks.

Hi Guys I'm looking to buy a 10 year old 300ZX TT and wonder what advantages there are of getting a Jap spec import over a UK model. So far I've only come across negative aspects such as; more expensive to insure more expensive to buy spares as Nissan put on a surcharge 280 bhp as oppose to 300 bhp (what are the mechanical differences which cause this difference in power?) Cloth seats instead of leather Is the above true or have I been miss-informed? Imports do however, seem a bit cheaper to buy. Thanks Jon
