MPG from a standard TT?

Working out the figures this morning and just wondering what MPG (using Mr 'Sensible right foot ) I'd expect from a standard, auto TT. Apologies if the link to 'MPG advice' is glaringly obvious..twas' a late night last night! frown.gif

if you cant afford petrol how are you going to afford parts or maintancence when something goes wrong?

(no offense intended) but petrol is a drop in the ocean when something goes wrong on these cars.

i get around 17mpg.

That's not a problem, just agree to spilt the costs - you pay the petrol and she can pay for the meal ! biggrin.gif

Can't afford the petrol, I'm not working on a tight budget here guys, you havn't seen my salary, LOL! As you said..just a drop in the ocean, but it would be nice to know roughly what to expect..anyway its only money..

mabey i misread sorry, but you seemed to imply it lol.

Not trying to put you of at all of course wink.gif just suggesting if you do need to drop going out to put petrol in your car, you are heading down a very expensive alley.

I won't really stop taking her out, the extra petrol isn't really an issue and in my eyes the running / repair costs of owning a car are just part of life..like taxes. I'm not trying to budget to see if I can 'scrape' through..just seeing how much I'll have left at the end of the month to spend funding my seal hunting trips to the Arctic. tongue.gif (Sorry to all you seal lovers!)

Sorry but I don't believe 35.56. You must have done your maths wrong !!!

The best I ever did was 400 miles between refils =~ 30 mpg, the worst was 200 miles between refils=~15 mpg.

I now try to aim for at least 300 miles between refils.

I feel the need, the need for speed!

I have what are, euphemistically, called dependants so I have to drive within my budget. My company pays me 22 p per mile to drive me Z and I claim another 18p per mile off the Tax man at the end of the year!

Also my strategy is to get 150 miles up before I reach 1/2 a tank left. I then have fun until I get to 1/2 left. The same applies to 300 miles up. I then go mad untill the light comes on for a refill.

Sad but that me.
