Premium, excess and Underwriter?

Just fopr the record I use www.footmanjames.co.uk and would recommend them to anyone.

Well most of that is irrelevent and I've already posted it on another thread, but £478, £250 excess and the underwriter is Royal & Sun Alliance. Next best was over £600 with Admiral.

Unfortunately Lifesure will only cover people over 25.. I got all excited till I found that out - curses..

Can't wait to be able to use someone other than Bell Direct..

Ahhh, so there is a benefit to being an old git. Did you try Admiral ?

It's no fair, I already have the grey hair!

I didn't this year - I seem to remember I did when I first got the car, though that seems so long ago now..

The worst thing about Bell is they'll only do 10 month policies, so although I have 5yrs NCB with them, it's only earnt over 4yrs 10 months..

Would be nice to be with an insurer I could declare my mods to, really..

I am fairly sure that Tesco, Elephant and Direct Line cover imports.

The problems that I had the other day was because I was looking for a classic car policy, not a normal one.

I recently changed mine from Norwich Union to the RAC who use AXA. They came out way cheaper than all the other "big" names. I only wanted a policy with a well known name, plus I had extras; Protected no claims, RAC breakdown etc. Might be worth a try.

Do Lifesure cover modified imports?

Z first and anything else is secondary!

Yep. At least, there're boxes on the form where you can declare them.
