im bored so i thought id ask a question about something i noticed on my car a while ago whilst driving my auto car, when i pop the gear lever into neutral at any speed the rev counter needle seems to have a mind of its own,it can jump a 1000 revs up and down in a split second. is this normal? i only noticed it one day when i was coasting down a hill/bank now bfr ya say,i know this is not good for the car and it aint a regular thing i do to save petrol ive never thought id got a problem its more just a curiosity that it doesnt seem right? cheers for any replies if ya bored too jay

Since ive owned my Z it has refused to rev over 5.5k revs (unless in neutral). After much searching on TT.net it seems like the timing has jumped a tooth. I have a normal timing light, is that not usable on a Z with no spark leads, so what do i need instead? How do i generally check the timing/adjust it? I just can't wait to get her goin properly Thanks Rob

Please your advice people!! After buying the car 2 months ago I noticed after a while that it had an uneven stance; the right rear fender gap was 20mm( 0.8inch)smaller than the opposite side. The left front fender gap is 10mm(0.4 inch) smaller than its counterpart. So it is as if the car's weight rests more on the right rear/left front wheels. We attributed the fact to spring sagging. I believe the previous owner drove for two years with a defective right rear shock (I thought that was the reason for the excessive drop on that corner). However, after installment of 4 new tokico shocks and SE lowering springs ,all fender gaps are reduced by the amount advertise…

This forum wouldnt exist without Zeds and deffinatly alot of Zeds wouldnt exist without this forum. B19RKS

Hello, Would any of you like a set of Denso Iridium plugs for your Zed? These plugs are the same as the HKS Iridiums which you can buy for £17 each, Denso are the OEM, however... A set of 6 Denso plugs will be just £55 delivered. There is one proviso, that is we need an even number of sets of any temperature type as they are supplied in packs of 4 and the suppliers wont supply half sets. This is pretty simple to resolve really cos if 2 people want the same plug type then that's 3 whole packs (12 plugs). If anyone wants some, then to register an interest email either me at jezz_s13@hotmail.com or Steve Carter at steve@carter200.fsnet.co.uk and ad…

The new EBC Redstuff pads, or a set of R4 Porterfield (Whifbitz) or what other fast road front brake pads for a 450+bhp hard run and heavy automatic car? Prefer ones that are not going to continue to coat the wheels with brake dust either. The EBC greens are crap and I am considering what to try next. I am running standard calipers and cryo brembo discs and I'm not repalcing them this year. ------------------ Z first and anything else is secondary!
