hmmm...seems like loads of people are having problems with their clutch, like me! I've bled my clutch thoroughly, but it still doesn't disengage the clutch properly. I cant get the car into 1st and 2nd (just). My question is how do you tell if the clutch master cylinder is on it way out? If I pump mine loads while the car is off eventually I get some resistance in it, but when I turn the ignition it sinks right to the floor again. Any ideas? A blind man slowly walks in to a pub, sits at the bar, orders a large pint of bitter and then says to the bar maid, "I've got this great joke about blondes, anyone want to hear it?" The bar fell silent and Big Bertha, a 6ft blonde looks at the man and says, "Look mate, I'm here with my 4 girlfriends, all of which are blonde, all are proffesional weight lifters and we could all fold you up like a deck chair. So think about it do you still wanna tell that 'blonde' joke?" The man sighed, nodded and then said, "Yeah you're right, I couldn't be bothered to expalin it 5 times!" ------------------ Rik

Hi, since clouting a rear wheel against a kerb I had to replace the lower wishbone and a HICAS arm. The car seems pretty straight again now but I get an unpleasant vibration at 80+ mph (ahem!)it runs in a cycle, vibrate for 2 seconds (BBBbbbbbrrrrrr....) and then smooth for two seconds and then vibrate again....most noticeable when coasting/deccelerating/no throttle Wheels aren't out of balance I don't think, this should clear up at 80mph. I did have the rears swapped for the fronts to even out the tyre wear a bit.... Any ideas anyone?? Cheers! RobH

Am I right in thinking that there are basically 2 camps here - those that want to mod the car as much as they can afford to get the most out of it, and those that think the car as stock is hardly worth tinkering with because it took so much development that any 'tinkering/modding' will probably lead to problems/changes which you wouldn't suspect/envisage/want ? MY standpoint is probably somewhere in the middle of these exteme views. Be interested to hear people's thoughts...

Right, so I've dumped the plastic plate piece and cut the front plate down to illegal proportions, and attached it to the bottom piece of the front skirt. It slopes back slightly. Not sure if it looks best there yet - neone else done the same ? Am thinking of moving it to the white section below the black piece right on the nose, so that it protrudes over the top section of the lower intake. I'd post a pic, but not taken one yet and haven't attempted [laziness] to master my scanner/posting pics yet.

I was going to use the car for my honeymoon next Monday and Wedding on Sunday, can you help? Can't get the air out, if there is any. Can't take the car on a long trip, clutch disengages when hot. If you happen to have a vacume (pressurised) clutch bleeding kit that works with the 300 and are not to far maybe I can borrow it or come over and use it. Tried many things, stuff I ordered was incorrect etc.

Hi, Heres the problem, gave my Z to my neighbour to fit 2 tyres and when I get it back theres a serious top end rattle/knocking! Not something which has been progressing but which has just suddenly appeared. Dont want to blame the guy as it would likely have happened if I was driving, so we'll put it down to co-incedence. A mate is a master tech for a Peuogot dealer and had a listen last night and he's confirmed it is definately a top end problem, possibly a broken valve spring or a hydraulic lifter problem. Anyone any idea if this could be the case? Is this a common Z problem (mine has done 90K)? If it is a valve spring or lifter, can the repair …

I am having a bit a of a problem with my alarm/mobiliser. Stopped at the garage put in optimax, paid and tried to leave forecourt - but no! I have a cat 1 cobra system, I deactivated alarm with the fob got in car tried ignition - nothing red light comes on when turning switch. There is a second button on the fob (which i thought was for deactivating the imobiliser - i have no manual) - has worked previously - nothing. Fob was working as red light comes on when pressing button. I spent 10 minutes of various combinations of presses and ignition states - nothing. Then finally for some reason I try putting the auto gear box in drive, then back into park - turn …

http://www.blitz-na.com/Blitz_SBC_ID.htm This was mentioned in another post but I am going to be wiring mine up in the next week or so and have been trying to decide what to monitor. I've got the optional harness and Power Meter which allows me to connect it to 3 DATA inputs from the car. The inputs can accept 0 - 16v I believe and it states it can read TPS, water temperature, oil pressure, injector pulse, A/F etc What would be usefull readings to view on a Z? The display can be changed to temp/voltage/pressure etc I believe and can plot a graph/current/peak readings from the data. I was thinking of water temp as one because i don't have anything ot…
