i put some 7 x 5`s in the rear of mine kicker sound pritty good i had to take the speaker mount out though and put the speaker on the in side of it and drill some more holes in it where as the stock ones slot in from above they sound ok though as bob said

Iain / Ian -

JBL do a range of speakers that will simply drop in place of the standard ones are they sounds damn fine too.

(Coaxially mounted tweeters, etc blah, blah, poly propelene cones, etc)

If you're interested, and/or could be bothered to read this far down the post, then I can get you the model numbers for each!

Cheers

Nope, 2db doubles the amplitude of a noise signal but that's in MHz!

Please clarify´- are you talking about noise or signal or signal to noise ratio? Also look at the mathematics stated earlier - 3db is a doubleing.

I fitted JBL 6x4 into the front doors and JBL 4x3 to replace the little standard ones in the rear and then made up a parcel shelf to go across behind the rear seat and mounted two JBL 6x9 in that are run off a RTO SX-7001 Amplifier mounted on a platform where the spare wheel would normally be. Sounds great from a non ICE maniac perspective.

I am refering to the signal to noise ratio, if my brain serves me right (which it probably doesn't!) wink.gif

Been a long day in the NDT department today.....conductivity testing 'through thickness' variation. and got the right results a nice stretched 'W' shape throughout the half thickness tested.....

I've had Eddy Current, Impedance, Inductance, Ferromagnetic, Magnetic Permeability, MegaSiemans/metre and Ohm's upto my back teeth today, glad to be home....

Chill time.................
