My landline is back on and I've got BT Openworld to install on the Craptop but first I wanna reinstall '98 as I've got so much crap on the Craptop it runs like an R34 V-Spec with Safeway 95 RON unleaded in it! LOL

 

Yes I work in IT but with a real O/S Unix not this PC shat! So I'm not brilliant with them.

 

I need to backup some of my files onto my Zippy drive and then I'm all set.

 

Do I...

 

a) Scratch the HD completely using format c:

 

or...

 

b) just pop the '98 CD in and do it that way?

 

My HD is really badly fragmented etc.

I know mate but my Craptop is getting on a bit and I still haven't maxed the mem up yet. Not sure it would cope with an upgraded O/S so am I right in thinking it's best to just install what I already have?

Yeah mate, 98se does the job , best of a bad bunch mate
