What you mean? The mirrored lights like MAC's or you mean change the bulb. You can put larger Watt bulbs in but I hear they get too hot and pop very quickly.

You can install HID lights where where standard on the 1999 ZX but you are talking over £500 for that.

oOne of my headlight bulbs has gone. I thoguht that it would therefore be a good time to get the stock, crap headlights sorted, by moving the indicators to the sides, US-style and fitting extat headlamp bulbs.

As for them overheating, doesn't a relay stop that happening - do you mean overheating in the housing or electrically overheating ?

I would also like to do the the mirrored housing thing.

but the indicators are allready at the sides wink.gif

At the extreme sides, Clarkey. Have you done your homework for tomorrow ?!

I have 85Watt bulbs for sale, which once ParcelFarce get their act together should be with me today.

Leigh

Yes sorry overheating in the housing.

People have put 100watt bulbs in and drilled a little hole in the plastic for ventalation. I dont know if it works but I wouldnt be too happy drilling hole on the head light housing.

Moving your indicators "US style" would also mean you had to move yourself "US style" as it wouldn't be legal here - why do you think they are on the front of every car???!!!

Is there such a thing as "US style" anyway? Chrome wheels? I rest my case!

I'm sure you would have a fair few accidents too as no ****er directly in front of you would know you are about to turn!

When you have moved your indicators what are you going to do with the large hole left in the bodywork?

Or is it ME being stupid?!

Dave

JeffTT at Zedworld does the mirrored housing effect as seen on Iains car.

Or email Glenski(Senna) and find out how he did his on his X-Zed himself, but be warned, it is a tw@t of a job by all accounts! wink.gif

The indicators at the side can still be seen from the front !!

I believe extra headlight bulbs can be put where the indicators are taken from - that's the point -to improve the light from headlights on dipped beam.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Surely everyone who drives a Z a lot needs to sort out the stock (crap) headlight settings ?!! So what have you guys done ? Simply brighter bulbs ?

I have two options which I can sell you:-

1 85watt bulbs

2 HID setup which will cost £500

I will also try contacting my JAP buyers regarding the later 300ZX lights, to see if there are any secondhand ones about.

If I have a car comming over then the shipping will be zilch.

Leigh

Thanks Leigh.

Option 1. is preferable. My garage can get parts from JAPPARTS, but suggested I use this forum to maybe get them cheaper - he can fit them.
