Coolant Leaks?

Still got mine so back to SE on Monday!

I know that over the summer quite a few of us have had this sort of thing rear its ugly head.

Q. You zederoonies who had similar have you sorted out and if so what was the problem? Hose, loose clip, water pump etc. etc.

TIA

Got a coolant leak on my 200 - there is a waiting list for Sparco coolant pipes, so getting them from someone else.

Isn't there a dye you can put in which will show the leak more clearly ?

Well my system was pressure tested last time it was in for a viscous fan and the Yellow Erics(AA) did a sniffer test just before that! No zorst gases in the coolant.

SE say they pressure tested again last week twice but still no sign of a leak! I and Mrs T can smell it and Misseur P noticed it aswell a while back.

Massive Roy told me at Trax he'd had similar on his and it was the smaller pipes around the water pump area.

If my viscous fan was shafted could that have upset the water pump or vice versa?

P1ssing me off this now as I wanna get this Blitz boost controller on...but not until these problems are 100 percent sorted!

Right Timmy, check the coolant hoses on the turbos, real bastards to get too, so find a 5 year old and dangle them over the bonnet! But my best guess is the two short rubber hoses that join the water inlets and outlets to the block. You cant see a split but the bloody thing will leak under pressure and the resultant water can find its way anywhere, or in my case the back of the engine! Or just do (DON'T DO) what I did, spend a fortune on new everything, pump, rad etc, only to find its those bloody hoses!!!!!!
