Is their a time interval at which the Cam Belt needs to be replaced if the required distance has not been covered??? Mine was last done at 118,000km but that was 4 years ago. Car is now on 165,000km

can any 1 give me a guide to this have got hard pipes for them to fit on to do I have to take standard 1's off? if so where are they and is it difficult to do cheers :bow:

Just seen a 300 for sale with 18" wheels at the back and 17"s at the front. The car had a slight "jacked up" look , which was good. Is having odd sizes the way to go or are their any pros and cons. Seems to be an american thing??

just got my zed back after a major auto box rebuild and the day after it died no coughing no spluttering just a stone cold cut out (just as if i turned off the key) after speaking to the garage who did the g/box they said it did that to them but after removing all the fuses and replacing them it started (more luck than judgement i think) any way does any 1 have a clue , i been told that the ptu can go just like it cut out ???? question is does any 1 have a known working 1 in the leicester area that they wouldnt mind lending to try (i know its a bit cheeky but as you all know its a lot of dosh to shed out on the off chance that this is the problem) so is there any fell…

Anyone use their Z as a daily driver? If so how many miles are you doing and whats your avg mpg? I'm looking for my first Z which will be replacing my Corrado as my daily driver, just need to get my facts near enough right before the missus finds out!

after two boss kits and three hours i finally got my goddam momo evo millenium wheel fitted!!!!! :hyper: never again am i going to do that instructions were in japanese and i had to figure out which way the boss went on (there are 4 different sized holes to fit over the hicas sensor), then had to open the boss up to feed the horn/cc wires through, then found the horn button which came with the boss is thicker than the horn that came with the wheel and wouldnt fit, so had to settle with the original horn button (not a problem - see below). after having to chop my allen key in half and trying to tighten up 3 allen screws from the back of the wheel i took it for …

My car sits on my drive awaiting the verdict of guilty ( written off and taken away ) or not ( Written off but I can keep it). It has done precisely thirteen miles since I filled it up, and I don't want to let that disappear with my car. Anyone any idea how I can syphon this off, as there seems to be anti-syphon baffles in the filler hose to stop this. I've tried diverting a hose in the engine bay as the fuel system is pressurised, but it only gives me a spit and then stops. I'm unable to turn the engine over as my collision has pierced the oil coolers. Any suggestions welcome, Simon.

excuse the title of this thread, im in a bazzar mood. more weird noises have sprung from the zed. ther is a gargle/gasping noise coming from the passanger sidejust where the windscreen meets the bonnet, but its coming from inside the engine bay, if you get my drift. it sounds like a split pipe. ive also noticed that the oil pressure, even though its at a good pressure,is varying ever so slightly. i dont appear to be loosing any fluids of any sort any ideas??? cheers

Does anyone know where i can find an on-line parts guide. Need to phone the oiks at my local Nissan garage to order a part. Unless you have the actual part no. they haven't a ****ing clue! The two part numbers i'm after are the two relays that work off the emission,when the idling falls too low they pick it up but mine are shagged and just keep buzzing throwing the idling up and down....before you ask i've dismantled the AAC and checked and tested all the solenoids which are ok and cleaned all the valves.... Anyone?

If anyone can lend me the sensor for this I would be fookin grateful. Hopefully not all of you have fitted it yet. Just lend it to me for a while. Cheers Chris

For a short while the steering was alternating between normal feel and a heavy feel with a little "kick" when changing. :( Opened the PAS fluid reservoir and turned lock to lock to eliminate any airlock. PAS OK for a while and is now permanantly heavy. Local garage has checked and found all mechanical parts to be working (pump, rack etc) He thinks it is an electronic signal problem related to the vehicle's speed - Is this right?? and if so where is the problem and what is the cure????? Hiya, I hav a UK91 Manual TT and find the traction on her to be somewhat dodgy, ive already spun out on a roundabout a low speed (it was wet to be fair), but in general she often starts to come out at the back and feels like she would go at the slightest twitch! The tyres are faily new (came on the car) but to be fair they are budget ones, which probably doesnt help. Apart from gettin some decent tyres what can you guys recommend to improve the handling?? Cruisin on the inside lane coming up to the KFC/Mcdonalds turn off nr basildon. luvly sound....custom orange paint, looked like the ferrari bumper/light conversion at the back...quad light at front, dropped to the deck. This must have been about 3wks ago now, probably on a Sat. If you do see this tell me how you got that growl out of her!!

Did the HID conversion for the dipped headlights and I love em, absolutely brilliant, Anybody got any idea if I can do the same for my main beam? can the same power thingies that I had to install for the other lights be used? I dont think I could fit another set of those boxes under the bonnet!!! Cheers Dave

I think something is up with my auto box :( I've gone though old threads about vib probs and all seem to be speed/prop shaft related. I feel a vib as soon as I start the car, its there in all gears, I think its still apparant in neutral, will go and check. It comes up through the seat, same as if the wheels arent balanced properly. Dont know if its related.... Driving at 80mph, floor the throttle, seems to go into neutral, revs shoot up to about 7500, no more power. Throttle back, goes back into 4th, all is fine. Til I try floor it again. Only happens when I'm going fast in 4th. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks

Need some advice guys, After installing a rear fog light for the MOT, weird stuff started to happen. When engine is turned off my boot gauge pulses and makes ticking noise under the bonnet, also the front fog lights stay on. So needless to say when i go back to the car the next morning the battery is dead. Anyway it passed the MOT and i thought if i just removed the wiring ect it would be ok, but it still does this things. Any ideas??

Anyone know what the most 'compact' air filter for the Z is? I have a blitz sus, but ever since I got the oil coolers uprated it wont fit because of my front bumper :( I currently have a 'green' filter (long & thin) in there, but it needs replaced and I dont particularly like it Long is ok, it just has to be as thin as the green one. :)
