Hello, The spark plug designed for the 300ZX uses a special design. The spark plug has a extra long projection with an extended shell. The purpose of the long projection is to ignite the A/F mixture deeper in the combustion chamber, allowing fast flame kernel growth as well as good anti fouling characteristics. Since the PFR6B-11B uses an extended projection, the insulator needs to be protected from thermal shock. Thermal shock is the heating and cooling of the insulators firing end. If you look at the PFR6B-11B firing end you'll notice the insulator is narrow and gets wider the further down in the shell, like all spark plugs. The insulator tip i…

And more importantly will i fook anything up running like this  By the way i have,nt tried plugging them back in for fear of buggering something up :slap: cheers for any advice Allan

It is probably better to give you the story of what I have done. I have done a rebuild on my 91TT with 555CC injectors, lightend pullie, greddy intercoolers, new loom, new O2 and water sensors, PCV hoses and valves and DoolZ POP with 1 APEXi filters. I got a chip from some one who dabbles with making his own map. The chip is said to be for a dual pop 555cc setup. The car starts but wont idle. When the dual pop was on it would struggle at 500rpm or so and the idle adjuster screw didnt make any difference. A few days alter it would get worse and the car would not idle. On starting it would rev to about 1200rpm for about 3-4 seconds, start to come down and stu…

Having had my 99 Spec front fitted, I have finally got hold of some J Spec front fog lights with integral side lights. Currently the front fog positions are filled with the UK spec side light/indicator combo which are still working. Does anyone know if the 99 spec indicators have integral side lights (I had assumed they did) and are therefore compatible with the UK connector? I assume that I will need to split the sidelight switched live to the Jap fogs sidelight connector when I wire in the new switch for 'em from the cabin? Have not explained this very well, so hope you understand what I'm getting at  CheerZ for any help! Steve :)

Grey Zed, overtaking a line of cars on the old A30 by the airport. I was flashing you because there was a police car hiding in a Layby up the road! Maybe you thought I was just being friendly! Hope you didn't get pulled!

Friday afternoon followed a red'un up the A1 somewhere in the East Mids for a good number of miles - I was one car behind in a yellow RX8. Until a truck doing 56.5 mph pulled out three feet in front of me and then stayed there for the next 2 miles. He got flashes, the finger, AND ****er signs as I finally went past... You were having the same problems with the twats in HGVs I noticed - nice undertaking mate. ;) Then Friday night gunmetal grey in Lancaster car park opposite sainsbo - I would have come over and said hello but the people I was with were faffing... Also saw a white one somewhere in the journey but I can't remember where :nelson:

Oh poo, only had the car back a week or two and already I've got big probs :( The low down hesitation when pulling away has now progressed to the car stalling and not being able to start it again! (engine turns over fine just no spark or fuel starvation Im guessing) Odd thing is If I leave it for an hour or two it starts and runs fine again  (so fuel pump should be ok) possibly a dodgy connection made worse when its all warm??? I'm now convinced that the low boost I was seeing is safety boost and not a leak, would a crappy injector connector lead to underfuelling and detonation (and then safety boost)? MAF and air filter are bone dry s…

evenin all took my baby for a blast this afternoon (in the pi$$ing rain!!) and all was well until I booted it -spooled up fine no probs, next time i booted it.. 5 cylinders! Thought a coilpack connector had popped off as this is happening a lot recently (am having some plates made to keep em in place) so lifted the bonnet and all looked fine, so decided to find out which one it was, I pulled the one nearest the front on the off side and nothing changed so figure its this connection. Could the connector just have gone? and how do I fix it in time for Jap performance next week?? Ryan? Mr Duff?,.....anybody

Went to Northwest meet today but have noticed some hesitation. Only seems to occur over 100mph in 4th & 5th when pulling hard, kinda misses a beat for a second making the whole car judder. I've renewed the injector connectors recently hoping this would sort it but it hasn't. As I say car pulls sweet upto 100mph in 3rd problem only occurs from there on. Also seems a bit on the weak side over a 100mph, just doesn't seem to want to accelerate as it used to. I've checked fuel pressure and that is spot on. Runs 1 bar boost. Could it be PTU on it's way out, or maybe a coilpack? ECU diag says all clear magic 55  cheers J…

Went to view a Zed today, 90 Import TT, and one strange thing I noticed was that it had Chrome/Metal trim around the front windscreen, instead of black rubber like I see in all pictures I view. Was this some sort of option, or is something missing from the trim ? Rest of the cars window/targa trim was black.

Hi Guys I am trying to work out seat model changes with Luke at the Z Centre. The series 2 leather seat I am trying to retrim has 3 base sections as illustrated in picture B (red bit). Can anyone check their Series 1 leather (1989 - 1991) and see if it has 2 base sections as illustrated in picture A or 3 bases sections the same as picture B. Thanks to Dave (dave_new_ZX) for the original drawing. Cheers Martin
