New tank is on the way - have just booked it in to be done at a local garage(need the car for the weekend and don't have any spare time to try myself). It's going to cost a fortune to fit due to the time involved apparently - has anyone here replaced one before and if so how long does it take on average? I'd assumed it was just a matter of unbolting the straps and filler neck, disconecting the pump and dropping it down, but they have 4 hours quoted on their system. Cheers.

Of late ive had a knocking under the front of my Z. After checking it out ive found the brackets that hold on the anti roll bar have both snapped (the ones on the chassis). Anyone have any ideas where i can get some from and why this would happen.

Walking home from the pub this evening and noticed a couple of Zeds in PC World car park taking part in a Fast & Furious style gathering (Novas and the like practising burnouts). Anyone going to own up to this one then? ;)

If this is removed will it cause problems,or will the hicas just not work[which is what I would prefer!]-what I mean is will the rear wheels remain 'straight ahead' at any given speed with no input from the sensor?

It looks as if my heater matrix has blown up this morning. Got into the car and it was fine, went into town, got out and the bottom of my jeans were soaking wet! Huge puddles in the foot well both sides. Managed to get it home ok but i'm not quite fit enough yet to start pissing around with it myself. Can i just kink the pipes going through the firewall so i can drive it to the garage? They look like they are branched off the water curcuit so it wouldn't restrict flow would it? Saves pi$$ing around with removing them and fitting a length of bypass hose... Thanks.

Hello all, Just bought an additional water temp gauge and was wondering how and where is the best place to fit the temp sender.? It came with a brass screw- in sender with two different size threads but I am unsure as to where this is to be fitted to get the most accurate temp readings? If you have one fitted could you let me know where this has gone on yours or is it case I have to buy some special parts in order for me to use it. Thanks guys. Ant :D

  11. I have some idea of the above terms! But would like an extensive description of them and how they interact with one another and how you would go about adjusting each parameter to get the optimum setup!

I have the standard UK rear wheels and I noticed that I have a crack on one of the spokes. It goes from one end of the spoke to the other but not quite meeting yet. I removed the wheel and looked at the other side and it is definatly cracked and not a surface scratch. I need to know if its possible to repair such a thing or just get another wheel?

As I'm getting an SAFC soon, do I need an Adjustable FPR like this?http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=22670-RR710US And to go with it I also see that this http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=22675-00001&Category_Code= is linked on courtesy website. I was hoping to get Thor to set the controller up for me but want to be sure I have all the bits to make the most of it. Injectors are standard, not ready to go up to 550cc just yet so want to maximise the potential from the standard ones and make sure I am not risking anything in terms of det.

Hi guys, It looks like its my turn to get the curse   Over the last 24 hours the autobox started playing up. I noticed it began to rev higher than usual before changing up, and now it doesnt go any higher than 2nd. :( Oddly enough when I select '2' it seems to give normal pulling power, but when in 'D' it revs high and doesnt give me much movement (as if the clutch was half pressed in on a manual) I noticed the oil pressure gauge was running higher than usual when the box was running into difficulties (over 4kg when it's normally 2 or 3) Ive searched the forum and found a couple of things to check but am not sure about how to check the autobox flui…

It seems that every Zed owner and his dog has had rough running at some point, but I thought I'd ask the question in case these are characteristic symptoms.... Up to a minute or so after fire-up, the engine seems fine. Once it's warmed up a little I get the following problem: With the engine below 3000rpm and at low load, the engine note doesn't seem quite right and under light acceleration the car will judder/jolt. However, somewhere between 2500 and 3000rpm it will suddenly sort itself out and run smoothly. Similarly if you put your foot down below 3000, it will pull smoothly up through the revs. When thoroughly warm, the problem's less apparent, but…
