............But for how long!?! :x: After a month of probs she is finally sorted (hopefully)! Just to recap, she cut off on me one night when i put me foot down and just didn't start up again..... eventually got her into the local garage and five days later she is running again. the prob seemed to be the fuel pump management thingy that's found (in a LWB) under the rear seats passenger side, (thanks again Chunk and Andy Duff) all it was was a bad connector that needed to be taken apart and bits tightend then hey presto! So should be at the next meet Darkside! :duffer:

I'm thinking of buying another Z for day to day use, but mostly driving at night. I'm worried about having to keep replacing all the bulbs in the instrument panel. Can anyone tell me how long the bulbs will last. Where will I get them from and how much? I thank you......

Just took all my induction pipes off - and if you look from the fron of the car - the right hand side intake has 3 rubber hoses attached 1 massive one 1 smaller one And one tiny one i removed them all only to get called away for an hour, and when i came back to the job - forgot where i was. The problem is, under the right throttle body there is a tube for a tiny pipe to attach to, also, ont the induction pipe there is a tube for a tiny pipe to attach to - unfortunatly i can only find one tiny pipe coming from near the air filter !!! Is this supposed to go to the throttle body or the induction pipe ? And is there another one about - only i cant fi…

If so, I think there is a quick by pass fix untill I can get a replacement, can someone advise what to do. And has anyone got a heater matrix for sale? Any help or input appreciated. Just replaced rad and that looks OK. Sa la vie :( :( Cheers

I bought my 300ZX last October,....1stly had to replace gearbox and install new auto gearbox cooling system,.....this was all when I was working down in Basingstoke. When I started working back in Aberdeen I was using the car daily to my work a 90 mile round trip,... for some unknown reason the car started to overheat the needle on the gauge was at maximum,....I stopped and left the car to cool down. I retrieved the car by tow platform and had an experienced mechanic check it out,.......we changed out the thermostat and fitted a new water pump and radiator cap,.....still the car was overheating,......there is still a high pressure build up in the top entry hose to t…

Read some waffle that a xenon HID headlamp mod is illegal and subject to 3 points £50 fine, invalid insurance and failed MOT. Some waffle about not self levelling and no headlamp washers - at least that doesnt apply on zeds. Is this true?

I'm toying with the idea of moving from my S13 to a 300. I've test driven a 300 and liked it. I plan on test driving another and if I still like the car I'll then get one. The only vehicle I've seen so far that I've liked is the one for sale on this forum:- http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=36868 I would have prefered lower mileage and it being a few years younger... I did see one on Bonsai (94,55000 miles) but its already got a deposit on it). My main concerns are obviously reliability and costs. So a couple of questions for any Zed experts:- 1) Is there anything obvious I should be asking about that vehicle (that I haven't already)? …

It's been doing it for a while but it's really p!ssing me off now:( It's murder driving it through traffic because it keeps jumping like a kangaroo! I've done the following: Changed the temp sensors, checked the connectors leading to said items. Replaced plugs although I know it isn't that as when I put my foot down it's fine. Done an ECU test which doesn't display any faults. Checked the TPS with a voltmeter & it seems to be fine. Recenty replaced fuel filter. I'm pretty sure the fault is a fueling one as the problem seems to go when I put my foot down although sometimes there is a little hesitancy. Once or twice the engine has cut ou…
