Help :( As chunk was setting my Boost controller up after JD had fitted it  The car is now alot faster as you would imagine, However !! the speedo reads well at low speeds about 30-80 mph but up from that we know the car is shifting alot quicker than she is reading ie: clock says 110mph but we know we are doing alot more than that... Can anyone shed any light on this please, as i dont know how fast the car is actually doing......:( The car has Jap clocks with the KMH-MPH conversion fitted.

Hi, There is no rear speakers in my Zed, but the wiring is all laid in for them. Jap import if it makes any difference. Tall order I know, but does anybody know which wires are for the speakers behind the centre consul !!! Got the front left and the front right sorted, as well as the lecy aerial, posy, negy and memory feed. Main factory plug is still there, but been hacked by the previous owner so its all a bit of a mess !!! JVC going in, but I suppose thats irelevant. Just need to know which colours are for the right rear and the left rear, + & - on the speakers, behind the centre console please !! Thanx, Alan..........

My Z has somehow lost the use of the turbos. It's a standard UK TT with no mods to the engine. The boost guage is permanently just to the right of 0 (I'd say about 2) and does not move at all when accelerating. When I switch off the engine it returns to the left. The engine still seems to run fine and revs OK, but there are strange flat spots in the acceleration. I appreaciate it's impossible to diagnose a problem from a three line description, but if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what to check first I'd be very grateful, Many thanks Damien

Does anybody know what readings i should get off the conzult for auto line pressure. Also, noticed that when reading my Car Speed, Revs and TPS setting at isle on the conzult every 15 secs or so the speed spikes? and so does the TPS setting? only happens for a split second. Does that sound like a problem.

I went to the Milton Keynes Cruise last night :) :smw: Surprised to see 4 300's there. All looking good. Nice to see they all had proper rear lights. It was good to see a woman driving one too, as us girlies in jap cars are too rare. There was even one in a nearby carpark (making 5). I went as part of a jap group from Northampton, but sadly I was just a passenger, as my car is at the bodyshop.

Well, I decided to have a go at cleaning this this weekend. Didn't even manage to get the bloody thing off the car! Any top tips on how to do this? I've found a nice link on how to clean it once you have it in you hands but I couldn't even get any of the hoses off it! There is a hell of a lot of very brittle looking wiring loom around there - I managed to break one small clip on the loom in the process  . Do you have to dismantle much stuff to get to this? Will probably have another look at it next weekend and allow a bit more daylight for the job. Any advice very welcome! Cheers David

Had this quote for my 4 standard wheels to be refurbed: 4 x £58.50 (for each wheel) 4 x £3.50 (for caps) 4 x £6 (tyre refit) + £extra if damaged internally + VAT! so talking £320 for 4 wheels They have quite bad brake dust markings and the odd scratch or two.. and damage on the rims of the alloy They were going to improve the surface of the wheel to make it smoother - due the rather rough casting of the standard wheel (a haven for brake dust!) They could also give me a slightly different finish - sort of a speckled/sparkly finish... I was expecting less :( This quote seems steep to me but they are the only place I know around Milton Ke…

  Sorry people, I understand if you're getting cheesed off with this question again. I need a prop shaft centre bearing and I can get part numbers for a TT 1990-1996,(37521-Z32TT) and the NA 1992-1996. (37521-Z32NA) Mine is a Jap Import, Auto 1990 NA....not 1992!!! Does anyone KNOW what is the correct part? Chris Davies

How long do these normally last on skyline brakes? Only done about 2000miles and mine are nearly done! Have to say after using them for a while I'm not massively impressed. Felt great to start with but never really bedded in like I would expect. Pedal feel never firmed up and they fade really badly after some hard use. They are easy to modulate but just don't inspire confidence because of the soft feel.

Front end of the car has been feeling a bit crap recently, diving around a bit under braking and wandering. No play was obvious on the wheels so I stripped the suspension to parts and found it's the rose-joint on the end of the SE tie rods I've got. You can't feel any movement at all when the suspension's together but there's about 1mm when it's loose!! Anyone got SE's number so I can order some more? Cheers

Need your advice ASAP guys. I`ll try cut a long story short. I was driving to Kebab shop when i noticed a white cloud coming from my engine bay. I checked the temp Guage and it was above the middle (that is it was starting to get hot). I pulled over and lifted the hood to a huge white cloud and lots of hissing. Waited for everything to cool down and opened the radiator cap. On opening the cap there was a small gush of water and then a huge gush of steam. Anyway, after waiting longer i managed to fill the radiator with over 3 litres of water. I drove for a mile and stoppped. looked under the car and there was dripping of what i guess is water. I managed to fill the ra…

I've found two pipe's wiv T connector's in them at the back of my engine  . followed them to the other end's and found one set goes to the T piece above the turbo actuator's and the other pair go to either side on the hard pipe just before the throttle body's. I have some pipe maps which Mike at MJP kindly sent me but the exploded view does show clearly what goes from where to where  I think the pipe from the turbo actuator should go to the hard pipe which goes the throttle body's is this right.have been told that someone has done a cheap boost upgrade :slap: :nono:. not so cheap when you got to replace an engine. :( but hope it anit got to that stage.

Hi all Just sorting some bits on the zed today I noticed this pipe which had rubbed in two on the tyre due to no wheel arch liner being on. I fixed it but can anyone identify what it is? :) And what effect would a break in it would have? It runs from a small unit (pictured) down by the intercooler (driv side), over the wheel arch and up into the engine bay amongst the mass of pipes by the small fuse box I think. Cheers  Pete

Anyone know which models nissan fitted this engine to (4.5l V8) Looks like it might fit into a Z, in which case I think I might give it a go.
