I was on the A12 the other week and released i was going a bit over the limit so hit the brakes gently to bring it down to 70 ;) but as i was doing it i thought hold on this is struggling to slow down here! Once i got it down to 70 i took my foot off the pedal and the car started to speed up by itself hitting nearly a ton! I sh@t myself! In the end stamping on the accelerator seems to release it :S even though it didnt seem stuck. Now the pedal is a bit hard and i dont know whether it got stuck, but the other thing is the cruise control doesnt work and neva has and it was just like the button u hit to bring it back up to speed....someone told me it could be faul…

I bought a UK TT 1994 about 3 years ago and found later that it had the same size tyres back and front. The car is definately a UK model. I dont use the car much as I work overseas. I want to correct this mistake. The tyres now fitted are 225/50 ZR16. Does this mean the rear wheels are incorrect or can you fit undersized tyres on standard wheels. There is a chance that over the years the wheels have been mixed up so is there an identification mark on the wheels or must you measure them. The rear tyres never last more than 4 or 5000 miles so what is the best make and size for allround performance. I have owned 300ZXs from 1992 and never had more than 6000 miles from a …

Can anyone help me, I seem to remember reading that there is a test you can run on the intercooler system to check for leaks similar to the boost leak test idea, I dont know where I read it but it could have been on an old forum? I have a compressor but need to know if it is ok to do and if so what the pressure it should be so not to blow the intercooler cores. Any help appreciated, Thanks

Any help would be great. I had to wire in a rear fog light with it's own switch on the dash for the MOT. That went great it works good, but problems has now started. When i turn off the ignigtion totally all the little lights on the dash start to flash and also the front main fog stays on. But when the ignition is turned on i have none of these problems except my main fog light switch does not work at all. Very confused. Paul

I keep seeing this Z in the car park at work (Ysbyty Gwynedd) & I saw it in Tesco, Bangor last week. Seen it when I was coming back through mid-wales some time back too. Dying to know if this person's on here somewhere.

 Got a nasty metallic shearing noise coming from driver’s side front wheel (I think). Seems that its one metallic shearing noise per wheel rotation so guess something’s rubbing? Doesn’t sound like the usual squeaky wheel bearing. Brakes are real shite at the mo (coincidental- wasn’t making shearing noise when brakes were shite two weeks a ago), and just got smithy’s pads turn up today so will be fitting at the weekend. Got a spare set of discs just in case (as discs seemed quite worn). Given the above noise, anything else I should check? I don’t think the noise is brake related as it doesn’t change whether I'm braking or not. Cheers AL …

Hello, I've got one of chris get greddy's ecu's which I've not fitted yet (I'm guessing not a lot of point without boost jets or EBC, will do it when I put the EBC on) anybody know what level of boost the map on there lends itself too? I was thinking of keeping stock boost for day to day driving and 13-14psi for when I wanna go fast. would this be about right for the ecu with stock injectors? dont want to be running lean.... (or over fuelling for that matter, is stock boost OK when the ecu has been swapped?) cheers edit: balls wrong forum, should be under help and advice.... oops :slap:

Driving to work this morning when the following happened: Transmission oil warning light came on, Diff oil warning lights came on, Failed light bulb warning light came on, Battery light glows faintly, Turbo guage stuck to the far left of the guage. The odd thing is that all the above lights normally come on with the ignition key then go off when the engine is started. Now they don't come on with the ignition key but light up AFTER the engine is started! Car drives fine and the boost level reads fine on the AVC-R. However, it does seem slightly unhappier idling than before. Measured the voltage across the battery. !3v with engine off. 14.1v with…
