Any of you guys help me with an easy to read wiring diagram to wire up a head unit. Have found 3 plugs behind the dash, anybody able to identify them? Also, is it possible to get a harness converter from autoleads or halfords or the like. Thanks Martin

Dont want to start a tecnical war on whether the manual is right or wrong, but i just need some good old fashioned 300zx.co.uk help!! Ever since fitting a new rad ive developed all sorts of leaks, my guess is that now the system is up to full pressure its blowing all the weak hoses. My water hoses at the very back of the engine leak a little when running then gush about half a litre of coolant out about one min after i shut the engine off when its hot. I know the passenger side turbo coolant hose is leaking, which has been replaced but is still not a very easy job to tighten even with my small hands. So can i safely bypass these hoses from the top end behin…

Hullo, Bit of an odd problem cropped up today, pretty major hesitation when pulling away (auto) car almost stalls!!! and at the same time noticed what appears to be a boost leak! (dont think it's safety boost). Had a quick sniff around the engine bay and found a very ropey pipe (end shown in the pic attaches to the throttle body) Im pretty certain this is the boost leak culprit, god knows how it held any pressure before!! Question is, could the hesitation be caused by the same problem or do I have another bug to work out??? (did find this thread, could it be the PCV valves? do they fail all of a sudden?) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthr…

i found a note under the wiper informing me that they had witnessed another car driving into my front offside bumper (whilst my zed was parked up) and would be prepared to be a witness for any claim lodged...now what i wanted to ask is what is behind/under this section...my local mech will put it up on the ramps next week so any pointers/thoughts would be handy the bumper is marked up but no cracks apparent...90 jap tt auto stock cheers in advance

any one know if a HKS twinplate will use the standard release bearing, or if it uses it's own one? Only asking as I'm pulling my twin plate out and replacing it with a stock one, so need to make sure I have everything I need. Thanks, James

Hi Guys I'm just in the process of fitting a pair of Konis up front with std springs. However, I've noticed that the lower spring seat is slightly higher up the shock absorber than that on the one I'm replacing (by about an inch). This will give the spring more pre-load. Has anyone else noticed this with Konis. By the way the shocks I'm replacing are ancient adjustable KYB's which might be different to standard shocks anyway. Cheers Jon

Posted by andy duff It disables the valve to 15% duty to give an increase in the revs for the balance test. Now who is talking ***t disabling the valve will NOT increase rpm its so it cannot interfere with the test. which incidentally WILL not work correctly with the base idle set at 650 rpm it is too low for a valid power test. On my way back from the Emerald Isle and while parked after a motorway cruise I had steam appear from the back of bonnet edge. I thought it was on fire. Must have been dripping onto the exhausts. I released the radiator cap in a panic and it wasnt boiling up. I topped it up and got several hundred miles home OK. Cant see where the water came from. There must be a hose back there that has a small crack or pinhole that opens up when it gets the heat soak pressure after parking hot. Had visions of it coming back on a AA relay truck and a ferry ride as well. Any advice welcomed

Hi to everyone, I have recently become the proud owner of a J reg 300zx and I love it to bits but being a newbie, I need a little help and advice. I suppose my most concerning problem is that my non turbo automatic transmission engine seems to want to scream its arse off up to around 6000 rpm before it decides to change gear, and then when it does, it often decides to change back down again. This seems abnormal to me, has anyone suffered similar problems or have any idea what may be causing it. It was running lovely until quite recently when I decided to test out the cruise control - was this my downfall? Also and whilst this is not critical, it is very a…

Ok people, I've just been reading this as I am thinking of putting some in (after a chip of course) http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/boostJets/boostJets.html So I've just had a look under the bonnet, the right side looks right but the left side seems to have a small pipe coming out if the metal pipe underneath the large intake pipe but this is blocked off with a small piece of metal, any ideas is this right ?
