Ok, dont beat me up for it but I am thinking about selling the Zed!! :x: I have the chance to get a low milleage Impreza WRX at a price I don't think I can refuse. But I cant really justify having another car without selling the Zed. Hope you guys can help me decide! Its a 1991 NA Auto, pearl paint, leather interior, about 70k miles, totally standard (I have 18" alloys on it but I was planning on putting the standard ones back on). For pics see here... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33447 I mentioned to a guys at work that I was thinking about buying a WRX and he offered to buy my car instantly for £3500, what do you guys think? am I…

Hi I have a 90 TT auto and the problem I am getting is sometimes, well nearly all the time, when I put it into drive, it seems the gearbox wont engage. If I drop it into D2 and pull away thats fine, putting it into D afterwards. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Martin

Can anyone give me some advice, I'm looking at buying a 300ZX but am torn between buying a Non Turbo and TT Model, Is there much of a difference between the 0-60 time of a manual non turbo compared to an auto TT, also the I have seen a non turbo with a man box 1991 spec with about 70k on the clock, are these more reliable then a simular TT model. Also if anyone can give me an idea to the serving costs between the 2, and finally do they have to run on super unleaded if they are jap imports? thanks in advance

Me again! Just been to look at a Jap TT '92 auto. The boost gauge doesnt work. Flicks to the left when the ignition is turned on then with the engines running needle moves to the right then remains there. Is it just a loose connection or a big expensive prob. Its th standard gauge. Other wise, apart from some rust in the engine bay where the suspension is bolted and in the boot near the spare wheel. £4875 for the car, YEAH :hyper: or NAY :nono: Cheers guys

Right then, I'm writing on behalf of my mate who has just got a Z TT import. the only problem he has is the tick over is really low and alittle erratic. Nothing bad but how do we increase the rev's?? Is it just a case of disconnectiong the the throttle sensor (if thats the right sensor( the one on the right TB)) and it will reset itself or do you just adjust the idle screws. P.S He's joining the club next week ;)

Need some urgent advice please! Took car to local Nissan dealer today with water pouring into car from heater matrix. Was told that in addition to replacing matrix they'd have to change whole aircon system as the old refigerant used on imports was no longer legal (or even available) due to some EU ruling! They reckoned another £500 on top of the cost of the matrix replacement. Anyone else heard of this sort of thing before I part with the best part of a grand?!!!

Ive noticed that after driving my car for a while the feel of it changes. the only way to eplain would be to say it feels like somebody has put a tight spring on the accelerator. it just feels bogged down. it not going into safty boost and the timing is still spot on as im driving with the conzult plugged in. its recently had a service and all plugs were changed. the fuel filter was also changed. its a TT auto with no 2nd gear at moment, but its 1st that shows up the issue. is this normal or its it summat wrong.

Afternoon, Bit pissed off with the zed today, I have a short list of things that needs doing/fixing, and I know each one of them would put off a buyer. And I really do need the moeny now... Advice would be great cheers :hyper: Still got the dead speedo/occ heavy steering/power&hicas light on/occ funny gearchanges when damp. I presumed this was the speed sensor connections at first but the SS itself is quite new, a couple of years and I've had a play with the wiring (visual) and cleaned up the connector on it but no change. I'm reluctant to buy a new one or a set of UK clocks unless I know it'll fix it ;) Next - I get bad brake judder (through the s…

I've only recently started looking for a Z and am a bit confused as to the best places to look. There are loads of private sellers out there as well as the importers and prices are quite similar. I've bought cars from private sellers before and to be honest, most of them have not been! I've never dealt with importers before, but living near Southampton there are a lot of them around here, half a dozen at the last count and that's not including the trade only importers. I love the look of the Z and on paper the spec's are fantastic, I've driven a mates and the wow factor is definately there ( his was given to him by an old boss!) I suppose I'm just after a…

Had my jap tt auto about 18mths now, not yet fitted the extra cooler :slap: . I 'think' i felt it slipping recently, not 100% sure it was though. Have decided i will opt for the manual conversion if & when this is needed. Z'world cannot do this at the moment as they are stacked out with conversions & have run out of boxes to use! I have decided to fit the extra cooler & flush the autobox out in the meantime. Hopefully this will improve matters, maybe only temporarily though! The question i wanna ask is: Whats the best oil to use in the autobox, and any links to flushing the box out? Cheerz.....Simon.

My Z is shaking itself to pieces slowly - time to sort the propshaft. Can anybody confirm the part number of the "rear gearbox mount" I keep reading about? The diagram I have in front of me has 3 likely bits: 11340, 11320 or (my favourite) 11375? Also, has anybody recently got a one-piece prop? If so, where from? how much? any good? Thanks.
