any speed, any gear (auto) but sometimes bad vibration only at this speed range, goes after 65 ish, slow down and vibrates till below problem range any ideas? Thanks, Rob

Hi, I have just been given a JWT chip by my son who bought it from the forum, question is, I have spoken to a firm about soldering a socket into the ECU, and they say with this chip the boost is upgraded WITHOUT any controller or boost mig tips ect. He expects about 14 psi from it. Is this right?

Car wanting to take left hand bends while i was rubbing my eyes! just drove back from garage after having my tracking done (was miles out everywhere espacially right rear) still same problem. anybody know what i should be looking at next? help is very much appreciated

i`m experiencing hesitation and sometimes complete cut out of the engine on low amounts of throttle. when cutting out if you leave off the throttle it will idle ok then accelerate again sometimes kangaroo hopping on and off ,this only happens with very small amounts of throttle. taken off and cleaned tps already with no result anyone got any ideas ? :bow:

All, Weird issue here with my passenger side rear light. Basically, the light doesnt work but the other side does and when I the brake light works fine?!? Just the normal driving light thats the problem?? I checked the voltage and its about 25.1v?!? The other is about 24.8?!? So it has current. I tested the wires to that bulb with a cold cathode tude running through a transducer??? Dont ask why, but anyway. The tube onyl half lights using the wires from the faulty side, whereas it lights fully when I used the wires fromt he good side??? WTF??? The voltage is higher ont he dodgy side so why doesnt it work? I will investigate more tomorrow but…

Wanted to see if any upgrade had been done to the car in Japan before buying a new chip. Wanted to do it tonight but as its domp and cold I was hoping someone could tell me the easiest way to get to it? I am slightly confused as when I searched for the information different sites say its in a different location depending on the year?

I am having a new engine fitted, (unfortunatley for the second time) I have contacted MJP for gaskets but I am struggling to decide which ones I need. The last time I had the unit fitted I thought i'd do it properly and only do it once :( so I bought a full engine gasket set even though the engine (long block)was ready built (The set was either £180 or £280 cant remember for sure but it was from nissan) the mechanic used very few and gave me more than half back saying he didnt need them as there was a lot for the engine itself. Now I am having another engine fitted I dont want to do the same, but the mechanic has said get all the copper washers for the banjos on t…

OK. The same clutch assembly, including RPS action and Fidanza fly, has now been in 3 Zeds. In the first one it was heavy as lead and almost uncreepable. Understandable because it turns out the vac boosters were missing as it the car was actually a manual conversion. In the second one - a manual - it felt like stock. It was definitely running full pressure because it coped with Stage II turbos adequately. In the third one, another manual conversion, it's v heavy again, but the booster circuit was included in the conversion. Why? Could be there be something missing in the third one?

Has anyone ever successfully cleaned out all parts of the AAC valve only i need to check it this weekend and want to see how difficult is to get off.It looks like a nightmare! Any tips?????????? Also is it worth cleaning out the air filter as i haven't touched it for a year or so?

Hello, Over the last week or two I have a bit of a problem starting the Zed, I turn on the ignition, no problems there, dash lights up fine, then when trying to turn the engine over I get nothing, just a click and the dash goes completly dead! Like the car has been immobilised ? fixing it is as simple as quickly unplugging the positive terminal from the battery for a second then popping it back on, alarm kicks up a fuss so i reset it with the remote control and then it starts fine (although I sometimes have to do this 2 or 3 times before the car wants to play) Any ideas what could be causing this? The alarm playing silly buggers was top of my hit list but I just…

My 90 swb TT absolutely stinks when its running. A bit like rotten eggs. It was imported 4 weeks ago. I've been advised that it's the Jap fuel. (surely the japs don't accept stinky running?) I also read that it could be the cats. I put fresh Optimax in it - though there is still some jap fuel there too. But it still stinks. No smoke, runs smooth. Any ideas as to what could cause it? my new alloys, very very lightly scuff my calipers, so i reckon i need some spacers. What sizes do they come in, I reckon I need about an extra 5mm to make it sure. and only on the front. Cheers J.

Started to notice a strong smell of fuel in my car, but it seems only in the mornings. I have searched and its usually the old fuel pipes getting on, but i had new braided ones from smithy fitted 2 months ago. would there be anouther pipe it could be.

I've read neary all the threads on the Zed's headlights. My question is where is the dipped beam supposed to shine???? Mine only shines about 10 foot in front, mainly on the left side. Is it supposed to be like this? I know the bulbs arent all that but even when I do upgrade the bulbs, they still wont shine in the right place! Maybe something to do with the 'auto leveling'??? :mad: Thanks in advance Andrew

Hi, on the interior of my t tops (the plastic covering that surrounds the release handles) have all come away .Anyone know of a kit that can fix this ?
