Right, I know its been asked loads of times but I'm having a blonde moment. :slap: Do I need H3 or H3C bulbs for my Zed? Dont want to spend a small fortune driving to Halfords, only to find I've bought the wrong ones! Any ideas on the part no. for some PIAA's??? Cheers Andrew

A mate of mine's friends just got a Z (N/A), but after getting the water pump changed it wont start, he's getting a spark on each plug and there seems to be Petrol as the plugs are wet when taken out of the head.you can hear the injectors, it just wont start,I've checked all the connectors and all are really clean. any ideas, if the CAS is f*cked would cause a non start.

just a quick note...can anyone tell me if the design of the propshaft bearing changed from phase1 to phase 2 and are manual&auto propshaft bearings the same need to know as someone may have one for sale? thanks in advance ;)

Ok i've cleaned everything the AAC valve and the other two,put in new plugs. Cleaned out all the throttle bodies (again) and all seems to be running smooth exept sometimes sitting in traffic the revs climb to aroun 1300??? Oh yes and i've also changed the temp sensor..... What else could case the revs to just rise like that? Should i clean out the air filter? It's a single Apexi....... Anything else?

I have a 1993 t/t 300zx and wanna know what the situation on detonation is with them. I had an impreza before which blew up twice due to det so am very wary these days!! Do the have sensors already to detect it or what can i do to make sure this dosent happen. I already use optimax and will be using octane booster to try and keep it up to jap spec petrol , but is there anything i can do like an ecu remap to uk fuelling ??? Help please!

Does my friggin Zed go into crap mode whenever i put on the heating. its still has full turbo but it goes sluggish like somebody has attached a big weight to the back, when trying to drive normally (i.e without spoolong up the turbo's). the accelerator feels like somebody has swapped the spring for something stronger, giving the pedal a more spongy resitance feel. i only use optimax, the car has recently been in for a full service, so i cant seem to work out what to do.

Just got back from a good thrash around town and my mate in the passenger seat noticed two or three spots of oil on his clothes. After looking all over the car I noticed a buildup of oily fluid (brown, thick, neither cold nor hot) around the area just ahead of the targa (normally where your internal alarm sensers go - in fact my senser was covered in it) at the top of the A pillar! I took the roof off to check but there was nothing there. Its as if this fluid has risen along the nearside A pillar!!! Can someone please bring me back to sanity!

The main door trim on the drivers door seems too close to the dashboard. The door trim is much further away on the passengers side. At higher speed the drivers side door trim and dashboard rub together and make a noise. Any idea if you can adjust the position of the door trim? I mean the main bit with the air vent it. can anyone help with this problem ,,i was in my 300zx and as i turned into a corner my feet got soaked in water comming from some where under the dash,,,,,seeing as it was raining i put it down to that....a few days later i was driving when i noticed the temp gauge started to go up and up,,i had to pull over i let it cool down checked the coolant level and it was very low....i am now concerned that the heater is leaking water inside the car as there is no sign of leaking water underneath,,where abouts is the heater situated i think its under the dash behind the center console can anyone let me know thanks

ive just fitted a recon auto box in my n/a ive got no drive at all even less than b4!!! ive put 8 litres of oil in it how long should it take to fill the torque converter and give me some drive??? or am i floggin a dead horse??? :( :mad: :( :mad: :( :mad:

Right, scenario... Driving along. Zed feels a bit sluggish, but I didn't think too much about it. :slap: About 10 mins later looked down at the temp gauge and it's off the scale! Immediately backed off but had to keep going until the next inhabitted area. Wound down the window and could hear an intermittent screeching sound coming from the engine; not revving above 3000rpm :( . Found a place to pull in, killed the engine and got out. Popped the bonnet, and there's smoke aplenty, looks like it's mainly coming from around the belts :cry: . Rad cap was loose and it looked like coolant had sprayed out everywhere- lots of water around the area, but obviously n…

Hello all, Just put in my water temp sender and now i need to wire the guage up, at the mo i am having one wire straight to the sender and i am piggy backing into the the illumination wires from my boost guage for the lights on my water guage but my question is .... I have to put a + and - from the water gauge also so can i run these straight to the battery or is there an easier wire i could piggy back into near the drivers side??? Cheers, Ant :)

Ive a 97 TT version S, does anybody know if the jap spec has an oil cooler or is it just the uk spec and jap modded. If the jap standard doesnt have one is it worthwhile fitting. Also is the gearbox the same on the jap manual as uk, any other differences between he two, eg uk spec supra/jap spec supra? Who does a new oil cooler??? many thanks

I'll be having a new engine put into my Z within a week or so and am putting together a list of jobs which it's worthwhile doing whilst the thing is out of the car. So far I've got:- 1) Oil change (goes without saying..) 2) Fit new cambelt 3) Relocate PTU to rear bulkhead 4) Replace EGR valve 5) Replace ECU temp sensor 6) Replace Hoses above the water pump 7) Replace rear oil seal I'd be grateful for any other suggestions or words of advice! :) Cheers, Nick

Just got my boost controller today but have come across a problem. On the control valve it has 3 ports on the bottom where you put the pipes onto. I know you have to use COM but what other port do i use. Is it NO or NC??? Cheers
