Just about to change the master clutch cylinder on my 92 tt manual.just wondering how big a job it is(looks awkward) :confused: and if any one knows the best way of going about it. :bow:

Hi All, I have just had a JWT chip fitted by a local Jap Tuning firm, nothing else yet at all. They came recomended but who really knows. Anyway, it now runs so weak that it stumbles when moving off, the ECU warning light is on all the time, and this is funny, the aircon fan is on all the time, and when applying the brake lights something like a relay rattles down near the ECU too. I gave them a perfectly good car, they had to fit the chip only, and now its a mess. Actually my brother took it to them as they rent the workshop off him, I would not have taken it away, but thats another thing. Anyone have any ideas? The chip came from this forum recently, might it be fault…

Hi everyone I've just searched through the site looking for this problem...no luck. I checked the level of the water in the plactic tank (for the rad) on the pasengers side and there is what seems like clay at the bottom.... Anyone else got this prob?? Will it be in the rest of the cooling system and do I need to flush it?? The engine doesnt over heat though. Thanks

Hope someone can reassure me here-- The car was running fine, then started to loose power and snap crackle and pop underneath as if the ignition had a problem. The very nice man from the AA rubbed his chin and said it was something to do with the ignition. Not the fuel pump. I tried to start it again, and it was fine, then a mile down the road the same problem. Started it again after half an hour cool down, and it went tits up once again and this time wouldn't restart. On (much appreciated) advice, I was told it was classic PTU farking up, so I put in a replacment (all by myself with no help from mummy!!). When I tried to restart, it chugged into life but was VE…

Hello all, Wondering if someone could shed some light on this, i have just fitted the above and for some reason when left to completely cool down (over night) the needle doesnt go down to 0 its sits around the 20 mark??? Any help will be as always appreciated. Cheers Ant :confused:

i got a leaking heater do i really have to take out all of the dash plus steering wheel to get to it,,,,,also i have started this job can anyone tell me whats the easiest way to do it and i am having trouble finding all the screws that hold the dash in place if there is an easier way to do please let me know

Thinking finally of boosting............. ECU upgrade first followed by boost controller. All works fine apart from code 34...... if i just use a resistor instead of pulling the whole engine out and fixing, can i use the boost controller???? Also if the resistor blew would this make any difference? Finally how much should i pay for ECU upgrade and boost controller and which boost controller should i use....is the Greddy Profec II recommended. I want a small and compact controller.......

When I accelarate hard my water temp gauge goes down!!!! As soon as you release the throttle it goes back to norm (approx half way). The car runs fine and is not over heating or anything. Any ideas anyone? Is it just a worn out temp sender or something? Help much appreciated.

As some of you know my car went into the bodyshop (QVR in Daventry) on Monday for the first round of body modifications. I was originally going to get the final part done more or less straight after, however the price they've now got back to me with for this last piece of work has turned out to be INCREDIBLY high, even considering their good reputation and bearing in mind the old adage "you pays peanuts, you get monkeys". Although the car is going to look great (fingers crossed) when I pick her up, it's this last bit of work (the fitting of a non-300ZX specific kit) that is really the thing that would make it stand out...and is suitably difficult to execute. Hope Andy can answer this one. I've taken out and cleaned the AAC, IAC air regulator,checked resistance and all is as it should be. I've also checked both plugs on the TPS and they are not corroded or dusty at all. The base idle is just under 900 which seems fine but sometimes it drops to around 700 which feels too low and it still rises to 1200 for no reason???? Could this still be the TPS?????? Is it worth replacing?

Hi All, Any chance someone can tell me what the colours are for what wire when looking at the Stereo loom?!?!?! Sadly although I bought the correct harness adaptor from Halfords the original wiring has been taken out and i'm left with a weird looking thing instead!!! Trying to see whats what is a nightmare and id rather not blow it up!!! :shock: The car is a J-Spec if that makes any difference?!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :cool: Cheers, Pete

I have a 300zx tt 1993 and need to remove the crank pulley to change water pump. I have tried putting it in 1st gear and brakes on put still it spins. I know nssan use the crank pulley locking tool but i cant seem to find where to get one. Please can someone help me get this dam thing off as cant drive car at mo !!! Also once bolt is off then any ideas of an easy way to remove the pulley without a hammer???? Help pls

my uk tt auto has started to go from first to second and back again fast making the car jerk when slowing down/coasting. marcus did a consult the tps ant timming were spot on the consult would not find the gear box think because of chip in car did a gear box test tonight the light that flashes doesnt go out after 2 secs originaly it flashes 15 times when i run through the test at the end the light dont flash at all steve :confused:

Have noticed that the car pulls to the left a little when driving either at speed or slowly, put it down to slightly wonky tracking or just the car following the road camber. (so going to get it sorted soon) Although today when driving very very slowly (doesnt happen very often) i noticed a very definite tug to the left, again and again. The steering wheel jumps just a degree or two to the left (when I hold it very gently) over and over, does this still sound like tracking? im not so sure any more.....

Had some white dial faces fitted by a 3rd party who by all account should be an expert at doing this (also had a new speedo converter fitted too as the old one was a bit ropey with dodgy connections) Mainly the speedo and sometimes the rev counter seem to stick, then jump up to the correct reading, nothing major, just a pause at e.g 100mph then a jump to 110 very very quickly, similar sort of thing with the revs (at least I think, moves so fast I can hardly tell!! :D ) Could this be a problem with the needles being damaged slightly or rubbing on the new dial faces? or could it be the speedo conversion (this is actually a consistent 5mph out so needs adjusting sl…

Right then, just about finished putting my boost controller in. The thing is, what do i do next. What do i set it at? What is this 'gain' all about??. I ve put it in and now to bloody scared to use it :cry: Whats boost spike..........so many questions ARRRRRRRRRRR. The rest of the engine is standard.

can any of you zheads point me in the right direction to obtaining a heathy boost---say 12-14 psi,and get me out of this nasty 7psi lane. my car seems heathy with no problems showing up on the conzult but its not boosting as i know it should---ps it has no leaks on the boost side of intake brian93tt

I have spotted this and it looks really nice indeed. The thing is though, my question is, do I bother buying a zed for this amount?
