Spotted a silver LWB import on the way home tonight, about 16:05 on the A46 by Coventry Airport, looking very tidy. Nice 4½" (I think) pipes, fekkin GORGEOUS rims, but didn't get to see what make they were (anthracite straight spokes, shiny rim - mmmm). Reg was TBZ ***. If this was you - what wheels are they?!?

The car will drive but only in 1st gear, the only way to change up is to press the hold or power button. Has anybody had this problem before or could shed any light on it I would be grateful. Anyone do a decent set of decat pipes for a 1990 UK tt, 2nd what is the most reasonable cat back exhaust in your opinions for nice sound and decent performance. Want something with a nice low rpm burble , that howls at higher rpm.

There is very little detail there. Steam/smoke from the bonnet is never usually a good sign. But it could be burning oil which was split after an oil change. As for water dripping from under the car. Where about from under the car. Front, back middle, to one side? Had it been raining? Is it losing water? Is the water a particular colour? Does it feel like it has coolent in the water?

hi all, ive got this slight miss fire on my 1990 uk tt auto, i think ive narrowed it down to the LHS bank of cylinders ( drivers side ), the way i did this was to slightly rev the the RHS bank, i think this lets the air in to the plennum feedding the opposite side, i hope im right !!! :nelson: right then doing this i get the miss fire, so i disconnected the coil packs one by one and the revs dropped on all six cyllinders, next i disconnected the injectors and cleaned the terminals and tried again but to no avail. i also put a long screwdriver against the injectors and put the other end against my ear and could listen to the injectors clicking awa…

  22. Thanks guys - OTOH, the garage that screwed up can expect the kind attentions of Trading Standards and, if necessary, Small Claims Court. Bagins / ZTech thanks for the shoulder to cry on and the words of advice. I look forward to being able to book my car in for the ZTech treatment. Dan Perkins Nissan in Slough (who I have used since Aug 99 when it was Rebuck) get tonight's brownie point award for a) booking my Z in on the day the other garage f***ed up; b) fixing it within 24 hours; c) providing a loan car with 3 hours notice. I know there are Nissan Main Dealers out there who are, shall we say, not necessarily expert and helpful. But I am happy to pass on…

Car is a UK 1992 TT manual. Recently had a minor prang which caused some damage to the front bumper (was only a gentle tap, nothing hard), don't think this is related, but .... Car had just been running/driving fine for about 30 mins, then sat idling for about 10 minutes outside a shop. Trying to drive the car away, it felt like the clutch had completely gone; clutch fully up in 1st resulted in a slight strain from the engine, nothing else. Tried turning off engine, waiting, pumping pedal etc, trying different gears etc. Eventually got car home by driving in first at about 3mph. Clutch felt slight lighter than usual, and stiff as normal with ignition off; no fl…

I had problems with my lights circuit blowing a fuse when I turned on my inner brake light conversion and it turned out to be wires going to the side markers that were run over the top of the exhausts  that were shorting out the circuit  Anyway, I got rid of that shit job someone did and I now need to know the best way to feed the wires down to the side markers. I had a look down the sides from the boot but couldn't see a way to get down to them. What is the best way? Surely you dont have to run the wires on the outside and underneath the back bumper? Ta Chris P
