Hiya people, ive just signed up to the forum, I currently have an NA supra, have ownly owned it about 3 months but am already getting itchy feet and want more power. However TT manual supras are waayyy too expensive for me, and I rather like the look of 300zx's which is handy as they seem a lot cheaper in my requirements!! Anyway I guess I thought id post up my situation and see what response I get. Ideally id love to do a swap or px with my supra, but I cant see why a TT owner would want to swap to a lower powered car?! Hit me back with suggestions :)

I need a new starter for a z32 TT manual. are the auto starter motors the same? I know the flywheels must be different but Just thought the ring gear on the flywheel might be the same and remove the need to manufacture two types of starter. thanks Paul

i stuck some tin foil on the inside of my headlights when i was pulling them apart to clean and fix the adjusters because i thought it would increase the brightness of the lights. It didnt and it looks garbage, but i do look like the look the lights in crome with the contrast of the red colour of the car (from afar when you cant see it is tin foil) I am getting some HIDs soon and might pull out the foil and the same time. Is it possible to spray the inside of the lights with crome paint? would any spray paint do or will it need to be specialised to deal with the heat from the HIDs and stick to the plastic if it is special heat resitant stuff? seen a coupl…

Right just done a compression test because I was loosing water. ! litre per 1-2 miles. In total put in more than 10 litres, which is enough to fill coolant system. No mayo in oil. No signs of oil in water. No water leaks at all. The other day though on tick over a lot of steam was coming from exhaust. Headgasket must have gone I thought. Problem is the results from compression test, which are as follows: Cylinder 1: 150 Cylinder 2: 140 Cylinder 3: 144 Cylinder 4: 145 Cylinder 5: 146 Cylinder 6: 147 After taking the compression tester out of cylinder 6 there was a bit of oil around the thread, but all sparks plugs where fine when removed. Any suggestions…

Took the old girl out for a good skoot yesterday, first proper chance i've had really since getting it as it's been having various mods and audio stuff fitted. On the way back home to Leeds from way up north i started to get a blowing noise, right from the engine bay underneath the nearside bank, no real noticable loss of power and no smoke so i'm hopeing it's not turbo or head gasket related although the tone of the pphhhuuuttt noise did at first make me think it was just blowing from one cylinder and could therefore be head gasket but either way i don't know the first thing about getting at it, as i'm sure i need a four post lift just to get under and find where it's co…

Ok i was drivin home from work and decided to have a little rally down the bypass road by me so booted down it and all was fun and i then pulled off n just cruised back home and the Engine Temp just shot up and i was like just under the top line!So i gently got home and put HKS timer on 2mins (Neighbours woke up :)) After she turned off there was a weird souind from under the bonnet by the passenger tyre area! so that bottom right corner of the engine bay!Sounded almost like there was a stone rolling around on a Marble table or something!not like a gurgling sound but like a stone on marble! Does this sound familiar to anybody? Not booted it asmuch as this before…

after my z passed its mot then borke down with a flat battery at the test centre, I charged the battery enough to get it home and all was going well (apart from the squeek from the belts) about 5 miles after leaving i noticed squeeking gettin worse and tempreture rising I pulled over by which time it was really hot, I let it cool, topped up the water and tried again no more than cople of miles further it was gettin very hot again, this time water was dripping from the bottom of the rad, I towed it home the rest of the way, I think the radiator must have had a weak spot cos now it leaks even just putting water in stationary, so i am sending it away to me looked at, the alt…
