On the way back tonight and had a bit of belt squeeling, then the alternator light came on and loss power steering. Had a look and the crankshaft pulley has almost come off!! It is at an angle crashing into the crank case sending iron filings everywhere. Has this happened to anyone else? All I hear all the time is people having trouble getting these things off - not them falling off! Guess I need a new one... Cheers, Darren.

Had to travel to Bath the other day to visit my bro and decided to borrow a tom tom gps from work.. Had it set to show my speed and to my amazement when my speedo was reading 60, the tom tom showed I was doing 76Mph. When I was doing 70 the tom tom showed 89Mph!! Even worse we're I would normaly cruise at 80 on a duel carrage way or motor way the tom tom showed 106Mph!! I know i've got 18" rims on the back so can appreciate the rolling radius will afect the in car speedo to a certain extent but this is way out!! No wonder when I was sticking at 70 and the police pulled me recently when it was wet to inform we I was border line to weather they would have me or …

When i come to a stop at traffic lights for example, the car stalls unless i slowly roll to a stop or put it in neutral before stopping (its auto by the way). Does this mean the gearbox is on its way out? because im assuming its staying in too high gear thus stalling it. Ive noticied lately that it keeps going into 'power mode' when it feels like it to, i have to switch it into 'hold mode' then back to 'normal 'for it to come out of 'powermode'. please help

Is there anyway to adjust the clutch pedal? the car has a receipt for a rps??? clutch, fitted about 2 years ago. but the pedal seems to have soft movement until half way through pressing it, when you can then feel the real resistance can the pedal be adjusted anyway so the bite is a bit higher, and that the pedal feels the same through all the travel of pressing?

Got my car back last night after leaving it with Jimmer for the last 3 weeks for him to do a full engine rebuild. I just want to thank him for doing such a top class job on my car and making sure everything was done to the highest possible standard. There probably wasn't a day went by that he didn't call to let me know about progress or that other parts looked worn and could do with replacing. Of course this rebuild could of been of totally been avoided if the replacement engine and turbos I had changed less than 1000 miles ago were fitted properly. Needless to say I've learned my lesson the hard way like a few other people on the forum. Anyhoo here's what was …

Hi there, Spotted a nice looking red g-plate (I think with a mongoose) tonight in Spot Lane, Bearsted - was a bit dark. Gave you the thumbs-up, but since I was in my old faithful 525 you may have thought me peculiar. That's a whole load of zeds in my area all of a sudden. Nice. CheerZ, JB.

OK so i've put in Redline MT90 (about x3 litres) and also some Molyslip. Driven about 300 miles to Cornwall and still the gears whine in 1-3. Soon as i dip the clutch when idling the noise dissapears completely or if i'm in 4th or 5th again no noise whatsoever! :headvswal Does this mean i need to pull the gearbox apart and fix it or can i just run it with the noise until it goes bang!!!!!! Any ideas as i can really afford a new gearbox just yet! Cheers Alex

Hiya people, ive just signed up to the forum, I currently have an NA supra, have ownly owned it about 3 months but am already getting itchy feet and want more power. However TT manual supras are waayyy too expensive for me, and I rather like the look of 300zx's which is handy as they seem a lot cheaper in my requirements!! Anyway I guess I thought id post up my situation and see what response I get. Ideally id love to do a swap or px with my supra, but I cant see why a TT owner would want to swap to a lower powered car?! Hit me back with suggestions :)
