Been looking for a boost leak this morning, plugged the tool into the intake and pressurised the system. Couldn't hear anything anywhere. Have chopped the end of a couple of pipes and re-attached them but all seems fine. STILL IN SAFETY MODE THOUGH!!!!! Ran another Conzult check last week (thanks Mark) and again No Probs at all. Only thing left is to try someone elses ECU to rule out boost solenoids etc. I may be getting one but wont know until i get back from hols on the 21st. If anyone'd got an auto ECU for a loan i'd be very greatfull!!!

I don't think the car is performing as it should/used to so I went for a quick blast yesterday with datascan plugged in and set to logging mode. When on idle running rich lights up red, during driving lean lights up green. This can't be right can it. O2 sensons and everything else seems fine and I have code 55 no faults. Got cat back exhaust, air filter, greddy profec controller and mines ecu only showing 10/11psi on the boost gauge. Anyone any ideas/explinations??

Just wondering if anyknow knows the weight of a std SWB tt. Im curious to how much extra weight has been added by filler from fitting wide rear arches. Gonna try and find me a weighbridge. Anyone out there fitted arches themselves and know how much they used? Cheers

I'm having some problems, which I think maybe ECU related: Car was running sweet as a nut on Friday night, used datascan (Blazt) to check for ECU errors (code 55: all ok!) Saturday morning however, I started up ready for the MOT and was running really rough from cold to running temp at all revs including idle - and it sounded like a lawn mower! I could smell it was running really rich too. (Still error code:55) (It's worth pointing out here that this is first time ever my engine has missed a beat!) Quickly fired up Blazt again and using the power balance test shows that no.1 wasn't firing. I got the car stethoscope out and all injectors are happily cl…

Just come back from the IOW  Im not sure if we have anyone hear from the IOW? But i saw 2 Z's while i was over there, one i saw on Wednesday (i think) driving through Shanklin, was Black with a round rear light conversion, had a bit of a squeek to lol. The other i see twice, first was evening time driving through Godshill, the second time was around lunchtime driving through Ryde. This was a yellow one with a tailgate skin. I must admit i'v only seen the yellow Z's in pics on here, but in person its a lovely colour, stunning Z!

Hi, replaced my injectors for 555 ones. Put it all back together and now I have fuel pressure but it will not start, if I put a plug in a coil there is no spark. Have checked all connections and I think they are all OK, however there were two that would swap over near the back of the plenum, did my best to get them right, but tried them both ways, no difference. When I crank it, it does not start, and then when I let go of the key the electric fan runs for a few seconds. I will look up how to do a diagnostic for tommorrow, but I am feeling stumped. Did a search and didnt find how to do a diagnostic on the ECU. I can check the various plugs for power, …

Hi Guys Thought i would let you know about the bargain brakes i Bought of ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-200SX-300ZX-GROOVED-BRAKE-DISCS-MINTEX-XTREME_W0QQitemZ200138558124QQihZ010QQcategoryZ23013QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Have had em fitted for a few weeks now and feel they have bedded in enough to review. Discs : Quality of castings are very good and overall quality is very good, 40 grooves are not too noisy. Pads : Mintex extreme , took a while to bed in and took a medium cooking to get the best out of them, once that was done are performing very well Testing has involved a few 150mph to 0 stops on a private test track and have worked adm…

Hi My passenger side door has not locked for a while now with the central locking. The central locking I am controlling from the alarm key fob. You can see the door lock move inside the car when you press the lock button, but it does not move enough to lock the door. You have to push it in fully by hand to lock it. My drivers side door today has started doing the same thing. Again, the door lock is moving but just not quite enough, and again I have to push the lock in myself, but literally on the drivers side it is about 1mm that I push it in, then close the door and it will be locked. Is this just a case of the door motors being old and weakened over tim…

Advice please - I left my 91 300zx tt in to get seal changed in the engine as it was leaking oil. That was 3 months ago. Whilst its been in the garage i've been informed that it was in saftey mode and that the knock sensor needed replaced along with the oxygen sensors as they were broken. The garage is having problems getting one of the oxygen sensors although all of the other work has been completed. I'm being informed by the mechanic that the car isn't running and that the engine floods everytime he starts it. All of this is being blamed on the oxygen senor is this even possible? :(

Iv noticed that the back end of my Z wobbles, almost as if the hicas is all over the shop, I looked into it and found the HICAS hub that should be plugged into the steering wheel stashed under the dash! could this be the problem? I wouldn't have thought it would make the back and move about if it was in the same place though? But i dont know how the sytem works. Any ideas? or am i best getting a HICAS eliminator thing?, or could it be something else?
