Last week I ran my 300zx into a field. The only damage is body and exhaust. However I have been posted away with work (in the RAF) and don't have the time to fix her. She is highly modified, can give 430BHP without the NOS and has loads of added kit inc. GReady Boost Controller, Apexi Multi-Checker, Garret T25 Turbos, HKS Turbo Timer, Blitz Air Intake, Blitz ECU, Holby Nitrous kit, Forged Pistons, Front Mounted Intercooler, Roll Cage, Dash Gauges: Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost psi, 19" Axis Alloys. I had her on e-bay with a reserve of 3000, but did not get offered anything in that region. Should I break her and sell her for the parts? I would hate to do so since sh…

Driving back from Nottingham today along the A610, a Vauxhall Meriva decided to pull straight out infront of me(Bloody old farts), onto the single carriageway. I tried my best to avoid the car (Braking and swerving) until I noticed I was going to hit a central reservation so had no option but to go back into the side of him(parrallel with him at the time). Pulled over, exchanged details etc/rang insurance and everything checked out. Now, my question is... Seeing as I am claiming from the third party, how would I stand getting my aftermarket wheels replaced if they werent listed on my insurance policy as a modification?

PICS ADDED Well finally got round to re-trimming the interior panels, so gone is the nasty tweed  Must say the door cards were the hardest to do :( took a few attempts to get it right but it's all good in the end! I bought 5 Meters of Leatherette and even with the mistakes i made i still have a fair bit left, although it's about 1.3m wide so wide enough to do the door cards length ways. So all in all not bad, a little brake down of the costs..... 5m of leatherette £25.00 3 cans of proper upholstery spray glue £6.00 6 mini packets of super glue …

just looked at my space saver tyre and it says it should be inflated to 60psi!!! surely that cant be right. that is double the pressure of most tyres and i cant see how a normal garage forecourt compressor would have the puff to blow up to 60psi! Looked on here but cant find anything that goes against it..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29632&highlight=60psi Surely not!

I noticed that one of the pieces of lens was missing from one of my front indicators. Rather than try to find a replacement piece of lens, i decided to get whole new crystal clear fitments. These have arrived, but there are a couple of issues i'd appreciate running by the helpful folks here: -Any tips on fitting this? I tried removing the original lenses to have a look, but the screw just keeps turning and never comes out. Is there a bolt on the other side that is turning? Anyone have a how-to? -The CC fitment has a hole for a sidelight bulb, while my original ones have this hole blanked out. I have checked the how-to on adding extra sidelights here (in …

I decided tonight id run a datascan, in the document below it shows the results. At fist my left O2 sensor was hardly not moving at all (i though it must need replacing) but then after a few mins it started going back and forth. I was a little worried at the timing reading though!!! I remember someone saying that it would show about 10 higher on the datascan for some reason - can't remember why but might have been something to do with the auto to manual conversion. Also it revs stupidly high - anyone know what this might be any help greatly appreciated

As written.. Happened when I had to speed a bit in an intersection to get out before another car. The back end came out. Pressed the clutch a short moment to get controll over the spin and continued... When I looked at the dashboard a few seconds later the battery light came on faintly... Stoped the car at home and saw that the lowest belt didn't move at idle. (Heater in tha car also stopped working) As far as I can se it's the Fan & alternator belt. It was dark so I could not see if the belt had snapped... Any other ideas that you guys can think of that might cause the belt to stop moving...

I have fitted the LED lights in the pods and the dash, but was wondering how to get the windscreen wiper symbol lit up. I have looked on the how to's and viewed olliex's posts but not clear on how to do this part. It looks like there is a small rectangular bulb holder, but doesnt seem to want to come out. Any ideas appreciated. Graham
