got some powertrix adjustable tension road for danny at DTA from the smithy catalouge. tried to fit the rods today and matched them up to the green rose jointed ones that were on there but the new powertrix rod was about an inch shorter than the old one even on the shortest setting. The old green ones are courtesy adjustable ones http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=113-1102 these were also set at the shortest setting tried to fit them and i dropped the suspension frame that holds the rose jointed end of the tension rod and the front anti roll bar to be able to get the room to remove the bolt in t…

Have just had all the fluids done, gearbox and diff oil, clutch and brake fluid, water and oil. Thanks J the gun and wozzer for sorting so quickly for me. Whilst it was there also had the dodgy O2 sensor replaced with a brand new one I got off topless. Only problem is the car still runs like a dog. It won't tick over properly and is almost like it is running on 5. Still pulls pretty well but sounds like there is a hole in the exhaust. Do I need to reboot the ECU to get the new O2 sensor working? If so is it just a case of leaving the battery disconected for an hour or so or do I need to do something else. Getting frustrated now. Guys/Girls/Experts of any gender! After 18years of deperately wanting a TT Zed I finally got one a month ago... (Leaving me like a pig in sh*t as the saying goes!) however - I currently have two issues which are resulting in me not driving my baby! *sniff*!! 1. When the engine is warm I have a coolant leak from beneath the Plenum resulting in plumes of steam from under the bonnet. I have been given advice from a couple of the guys on here (thank you for your time guys!), but as I have been a spoiled child with a company car for the past 11 years my mechanical skills have dissolved (as probably has my first car!!! - 997cc metro city which I stripped and r…

Happened to my old red UK LWB too. dunno if its living in pothole city but my SWB now has the same problem Front wheels seem to far forward and when you turn they rub and embed themselves in the inner arch covers. Left hand side inner arch now ruined and Ive had to cut it away slightly to stop the embarrasing noise when turning corners. Polybushed up and had the rose jointed tension rods put on. Will have to check to see if lower arms are cracked - anyone else ever get this prob???

I'm needing some new wheels. At the moment the tyres are 225/55/16. If i were to look for some larger alloys (17 or 18 maybe) what would i need to look for? Is there a code? I see things such as "Stud" and "J#" but i'm not sure what these mean. Thanks (1992 import TT)
