I read alot about how much power you guys are pushing out of these cars with a few mods, i am just interested to know if any of you are running with a similar setup to mine and what bhp youre getting Chip Scorpion exhaust Decat Induction 14-15psi boost Just wondering as i,m gonna pull the engine this winter and fit a set of hybrids and injectors to her, and would like to know what sort of bhp increase i will get. So basically i,m wondering if the extra cost would be worth the power increase. I know i will need a clutch. Any figures or estimated costings for the turbos and injectors, or have you any for sale. i'm right on the verge of buying a tt manual swb but i'm worried about the oil pressure. how much should they run? it seems low. 2 on tickover when cold, less when warm, and only reads 4 when driving! is this an issue? its only done about 50k miles and everything else is sweet. starts on the button,no smoke, drives lovely etc. please help. i'm a 300 virgin

hi does anyone know the best place to get some white alloys from i saw some on a black 200sx at rotorstock and thought they would look good on my black zed cheers :) oh i only have good condition original zed alloys at the mo

can someone tell me what these are all about ??? will they work on a stock engine ??? i seen these on ebay thinking about buying them but im sure i see these on this forum last year and a little bird told me that basically they were f$$$ked and the bloke couldnt get them to work properly does anyone know if these are the same ones ????

Hi, The missus is on the M25 in the Zed and the windscreen wipers have packed in! Typical that its raining buckets. She says they made a clunk sound and then something snapped and they stopped working. The motors are still going (clunk,clunk!) but the wipers are not working. She's trying to find a safer place to stop before looking at them because visibility is very bad. Does anyone have any suggestions ? it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Not sure if the manual kit i'm buying has original gearknob, just wondered if there's any links to nice aftermarket ones. I've seen a couple on here with a "ball" type knob in chrome, don't know where to get them. cheers in advance :)

Changed fuel filter today and filter was full of a brown silt like stuff. Looked like rust. Me's thinking that after 17 years there must be quite a lot of s**t in the tank. So, what do you recon guys, is it worth cleaning out tank and replacing the pump? If so, I've seen those uprated ones on Ebay, any good? I'm thinking that all that stuffs gone through the pump and can't of done it any good. Off to Spain in the old girl soon and can't be doing with some french bloke charging me 500 euros to whack a pump in!!! :headvswal Jase

Taken me 4 days so far to get the screen bezel sorted. 8" wide touchscreen. Fiddly to fit compared to a 7inch? - ended up removing a lot of the dash molding by where the clock sits with a dremel so it'll sit in nicely. I extended the hole at the bottom back by an inch and a half, to make the screen more vertical. Will post more pics tomorrow!

My heater matrix went yesterday so I had to do the by-pass until I get a new one. I knew it would be a bit of a bugger getting down the back of the engine so thought I might as well do some other bits while I was at it. I bought some fuel hose and replaced all the fuel hoses on the top of the engine and did the filter as well. Some of the old hoses were pretty shot, even though they looked fine before removing them. I swear the car is faster and more responsive now? what a great little job. I'd recommend anyone does it, only an hour or two. I don't really do any of my own work on the cars anymore as I don't get the time and like to have it done professionally but must adm…

At the moment my square number plate is attached to a stock zed from bumper with folded off industrial sticky tape and it looks crap, sags :( I need some bracket or anything short of super glue that will fix it good and proper to the bumper..?

Hi all, I have just won a nice leather auto shifter from a later ZX on Ebay (thanks AndyZ - it's in really good condition too :cool: ). Question is, how do I get the old one out and re-fit the new one (and how does the centre console trim come off)? Also the new one is minus the big release button; is it easy to remove it from my existing shifter and locate it in the leather one? Thanks in advance! Richard :)

just a reminder for the peeps coming south down the A1 the new A1 link road no longer goes past the services so dont forget to get off onto the M62 east, then first exit off into the services. also peeps coming up A1, watch out for the services slip road or the new link road will take you right round and past the services,which you will then have to go to the next exit and turn around and come back down weather wise,,,,raining at the moment will put something up in the morning supposed to be dull but dry (few showers) see you all tommorrow :tongue:

my mate just blew his 300 tt up last night i have a spare na engine is it possable to use my old na engine and fit his turbos to it and sump etc and screw the boost down a bit??? has anyone done this ever ?? please help if this works i have to have it done asap 4 him as he needs it 4 work well with in the next few days hes broke so thats why hes no able to buy a tt engine at the min and hes not getting mine!! lol

Help please if anyone can, I have a USB datascan cable, the drivers load ok and the PC sees it as a com port but I cannot get it to talk to the ECU no matter what I do, the consult port seems to be loose on its wires just above the bonet release on the drivers side. is it possible my consult port is Fricked is there any tests I can do to test it? anyone else got the USB cable working after having similar problems Brian
