  1. When I was young silly and drunk my mate jim was lobbing allsorts on a huge bonfire, like full tins of beans etc. He wandered off and then lobbed something on it 'Jim, was that an empty gas bottle you just threw in?' 'Nope', he said. A minute later my drunkeness passes 'so what was it?'.... 'A full one' We all ran and watched as burning timbers, ash smoke and bits of earth rained down around us.:tt2:
  2. Should of said, mine was a 6 speed manual.
  3. I had a 540i 4.4 e39, absolutely loved it to bits. Awesome cars. zed TT fast, surprisingly economical and cheap to buy. never had a moment when I thought it needed more go , especially at low revs  I got a 0-60 of 8.3 seconds, timed by the organizers of a bike racing event, whilst............towing a hayabusa on a trailer :tt2: The only bad point at all was it was utterly crap in the snow, but hey......the other 362 days of the year were a blast. My second favourite car ever after the Zed, obviously. I stupidly sold it when we moved and am now buying another, cos I miss it sooo much
  4. Weird, I got lent an st200 and it did 20 mpg at best, with a modest bit of go, then got back in my bmw 540 and did 21mpg....with 286bhp . Ford v6's suck :2guns:
  5. 1.44 a litre, or http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/vegetable-oil-20-litre-cube-for-15/333466
  6. You're allowed to use it, up to a certain amount.Be hard to prove how much you spent on it though :tt2:
  7. Hi. Newer cars cant run on it 'as is' because its too thick and creates pressure in all the wrong places. Older stuff is no problem,My mate and me used to run 3% white spirit in veg oil and it took a second longer to start when cold, but actually had more zip when using it. Mine was a ducato van, his was a hilux that did 150k running on it. Leaves a really obvious chips shop smell out of the exhaust too.hmmmn.chips.lol.
  8. They are a sod to nail all the leaky points in the fuel system under the bonnet.Mine have had leaks from the join before fuel filter, tiny pipe under middle cover, near regulator etc.I replaced everything with new hoses and new clips, with lots of pics of how the clips should be it was not a doddle, but alright.Would be a mare with no pics....
  9. Fantastic. A little 'motivation spin' can do the world of good.Bloody well done getting this far and sticking with it. :thumbup1:
  10. Hi. It was complete bmc failure.Jeff said something about seals? It was a short time after(was my daily driver) about a week or so after that first time
  11. Ya keep on knockin and ya cant come in woo
  12. Anythings possible with a good fabricator. My old supra needed some and the guy threw away a rubbish universal pair and hand made a pair into factory look from sheet.Cost me a bit more but they were lovely. You need some one who knows what an English wheel is
  13. As your Sig pic, but hey.I'm biased
  14. I had an utter mare with one of mine ( drivers side, it was really cack handed to swing a hammer at for one thing) Tried the grind/heat whack and just got bloody and angry. Welded a bit of threaded bar to the bush then poked it through a large socket, nut on it and it wound out easy as you like.I wont even bother trying anything else when I do the next ones :tt2:
