General Discussions - 300ZX Related

I'm sorry to bring this up again but I've looked back on the search and my question never really gets answered. I have fitted Decat pipes so the EGR pipes from the exhaust just hang there, what is the minmum I need to remove/block off for car to run normally. At this stage I'm not bothered about taking it all off, I'll do that when I've got more time. If anyone has photos/pictures that will be great. Jase

Has anybody ever heard of Anti-Lag being run on a 300zx? Im going for a new ECU/Chip soon, and im considering going for anti-lag along with it... Its quite popular over here in Northern Ireland with mr2's/scoobys/evos/etc.. I know traction would be an issue, but it sounds amazing... :bow:

i found this bolted to the right handside beside the intercooler and it wasnt connected to anything ??? must be a pipe that fits on here looks like a pos and a neg connect under here

well i spent years building her to how a wanted, then stupidly sold her to my mate, and he has writen her off last week, luckely he was ok & walked away without a scratch, but im gutted!

Hey all Still trying to find why my car wont start!!! but have noticed the following: The negative cable from my battery goes first to a clamp that has it bolted to the car body. It then goes along the top of the engine bay and then drops straight down behind where the loom goes through the body wall into the cabin. Just as it gets level with my air con pipes there is a big copper ring on it that clearly should be connected to something. If you follow it past here its connected to the gearbox. Where does it go? back of the engine or onto the body again? would this cause my car to suddenly decide not to start?

I was sitting in traffic going into cambourne as you drove out. Looked and sounded nice :cool:

Got mot tommorrow and just found out the main beam on passengers side isn't working. Checked the bulb but it looks ok. Is there a fuse for just one side bulb? If not any other ideas? thanks.

I did this mod on my old prelude and it was pretty bo shank. When the alarm was locked with the alarm blipper i wired in the folding mirror switch wire to fold in the mirrors and to unfold them when unlocked. Most alarms have wires that give a voltage or ground for an amount of time after the alarm is armed for window lift/total closure so i know this would be possible with my cobra alarm on the zed as this has window lift but i was wondering how the folding mirrors fold and if this would be an easy mod. Has anyone done it on here?

is there a aircon removal guide and is there any probs other than the aircon not working once its removed?

Ive seen zeds from japan with red background zed badges with gold zed logo ,But nissan uk say they dont exist only red with silver as i have now, im told this is 99 spec .Has anyone got the part number for the red/gold badge thanks taff.

Hi i have some drips coming in are the rubbers super expensive oh can a sealent of some kind be used.

After speaking to my sprayer the other day, he said that the brake pedal went straight down to the floor with no pressure behind it, when he was moving the car about the other day. now i have changed all of the disc's and pads a while back, and on the drive down the breaks did start to feel a little spongy and were basicly crap by the time i got to the spray shop, my question is has the fluid level dropped to a point where it needs topping up? do i need to bleed the brakes? or has the brake booster gone? i haven't got the car with me or anywhere near me so i cant really check, but the brakes being ok on the start of the journey and then being crap lea…

my gear box just died. well its dirving but nothwithout a major noise. can feel the cogs crinding. :headvswal in all the time I have owned it this is the first major issue, well other than a injector giveing way and sploshing fuel all over the place.

Dont know if this is a repost but someone on sxoc has fitted a z32 tt motor in a s13 quite an inpressive installation .It was a JAE aparently anyone see it there.

black one in groombridge...parked up...looks a little unloved silver/grey one in tunbridge wells drove past me as i was parked up near the pantiles

Hi, Have just fitted the split downpipes and decat pipes from 2fast2cool on ebay and I have to say I am very impressed! The fit is spot on, and the performance improvement is great, the turbos spool earlier and boost lasts longer through the rev range, they are worth every penny which wasn't much to start with!

Hello there, does anyone know anything about the ECU outputs / inputs (from the sensors), specifically what voltages they operate between. I am looking at making a custom display hardware that will sit where the old clock is on my zed. I will have a button to change the options and will read out the data from the ecu. I am interested in:- Pin 29 O2 Sensor (L or R) Pin 55 O2 Sensor (L or R) Pin 53 Vehicle speed sensor Pin 7 Tachometer Pin 28 Coolant temperature Thats about it for now, hopefully someone out there will know what voltages they run at. After replacing my injectors and having some right fun and games I have now, with some good help from here, got the engine running. But, front n/s cylinder will not run. Compresson is fine, I have no pulsing elec signal from the coil connector, if you know what I mean? So, is this a sign of a tired PTU, or a broken wire? Any ideas????
