Prior to fitting the injectors engine was fine, have done compresson check and all is fine. Engine was sweet before. In all respects so its not an engine problem. I have checked the actual coil pack and its OK, I have no signal from two of the pins on the coil pack connector. Its the No 2 cylinder. I also have fitted 555 injectors and No 5 doesnt fire, but as its got a spark I assume its the injector, what signal should I get from the injector connector, and when? I have fitted a brand new series 4 PTU, and this made no difference, so my old PTU was ok. I have tried two ECU's, problem stays the same. I am assuming its a broken wire, or two. …

Hi, my Z31 is 'missing', idle is erratic, using loads of fuel - particularly bad when hot. I know there are various sensors etc to check, but what's the most common problem, or the best order to check things in? Thanks in advance :o) Pete

Simple question . Just fitted a replacement indicator , for one which had a screw missing and found that the screw just turns without tightening ( which explains the missing original screw ) , As we`re dealing with plastic and using a fattter screw might break it , what to do ? A bit of white Blu-Tac seems a tad wish-and-hope . All suggestions in the box by the watercooler Many thanks " I know : I don`t have enough to worry about , and should get a ******* life "

I sorta got stuck refitting a shortshifter - you need deformed hands to hold, stabilise and thread nuts on at same time, which is exactly what Mr Duff had :) He popped over this afternoon and in minutes finished a job I had spent over half hour of dropping nuts and bolts under car. Top man and Top Job!!!!

the crack in my brake pipe that was weeping fluid has got worse when i was trying to repair it and actually sheared apart when i was trying to remove it. Went to nissan to order a replacement and it was suprisingly cheap at 8 quid but the problem was that is was in Japan and wouldnt get to me until mid sept! He suggested going to the service dept and asking them to make me one up which they did but phoned me a day later telling me they had done but it was going to cost me £79! i argued this a bit but they wouldnt shift so i picked up my old one and tried to seal the hole myself with epoxy leak fix from halfords. I thought i sealed it when i blew it hard under water …

When carrying out the test to check your Electric Cooling fan is working, i.e., disconnect the water temp sensor, turn ignition on, and the fan should cut in, if OK that is. should it run continually then until you switch off, or only momentarily as mine does. It runs for about 2 seconds and then turns off. Has the relay gone faulty ??

After successfully converting the dash and pods to led, i thought i would give the auto box selector a go, as compared to the dash lights, they looked very washed out and not as bright. I havent taken any pics yet as my digicam is crap and you only think of taking piccies of how too's when its done. If anyone is interested ican do a step by step and whats required to do the mod. Only took a couple of hours to do, including taking the centre console apart and what a difference, even the red selector marker lights up, so you can now see what gear you have selected instead of guessing at night. Next project is to change the interior festoons to leds. Any on…

Yes another AIV thread, i knew what your thinking, guides here simple DYI job, but there are still a few questions i need answered as all the AIV guides ive read(about 5 of them) dont detail the solnieod removal enough so here are my questions. 1, Does anyone have a photo of the AIV bracket in a late model car where nissan removed them, i want to see what nissan did/left in the late models so i can copy nissan. 2 I want to remove the Solnieod from the engine bay and ive already checked which pipes go to the AIV units so i can pull them out no problems but what of the the 2 other pipes connected to the Solnieod, do i have to leave them in and hook them up togethe…
