Hi! Not sure if I'm correct here, just joined the group.
A solid 2 months ago I bought a lovely 1997 300ZX Z32 in a beautiful purple color. It's been a great car so far and I love it with all my soul as it's the first sports car I've owned since I am only 20 🤣
I did encounter a problem yesterday after work though. My front windshield wipers always worked with no problem, showing no signs of giving up. Then, on my way home from work, as I turned them on in the rain, they swiped once and then stopped working. I pulled over to check if turning the car on and off would solve it, which it didn't. I was able to freely move them around but as soon as they reached the top position (vertically infront of my view), they blocked there completely.
I replaced the fuse and checked the relay, both of which don't seem to have any issues. When I try to turn the wipers on, all I hear is the motor or the relay seemingly clicking twice before going quiet.
The washers however work, and tge rear wiler as well with no issues.
What could the problem be?

Changed fuel filter today and filter was full of a brown silt like stuff. Looked like rust.
Me's thinking that after 17 years there must be quite a lot of s**t in the tank.
So, what do you recon guys, is it worth cleaning out tank and replacing the pump? If so, I've seen those uprated ones on Ebay, any good?
I'm thinking that all that stuffs gone through the pump and can't of done it any good.
Off to Spain in the old girl soon and can't be doing with some french bloke charging me 500 euros to whack a pump in!!! :headvswal
