Is it not the noise of the pump sending something to the carbon cannister?? If i stand at the back of mine , when the turbo timer shuts off i get about a 1 to 2 second noise that can only be descibed as a "zzzzzzrrrrrrrr" (more electrical than air pressure) always done it since ive had it and i assume its perfectly normal!!!:confused:

When mine got to a yar of ownership i totaled up all bills (excluding petrol insurance and tax) came to just over a grand, that is a grand to keep on the road, general maintinance and servicing, no major problems(touch wood). By the way that year i also did about 15000 miles nearly 12,000 in the first 6 months, less than 3,000 in the following 6 months!!! £20 a week to keep a zed on the road, bargain!!! :D

Not me mines red so, if that had of been me that you seen, you wouldnt of seen me cos red ones are faster, therefore i would of been about a mile up the road and not in the spot where you would of seen me had my car been silver!!!

Some low life piece of crap knicked my other two dustcaps today, at this rate im going to be spending about £25 a month on dustcaps!!! Next pushbike i see with red dustcaps the kid on it is getting a slap, dont care how old he is!!!!

Started getting a metal on metal squeak today on the way home from work, noticed i only got it on hard acceleration, ie on boost, i had visions in my mind of the blades of the turbo scraping on their housings and me having to part with over a grand and be zedless for a while. After searching the engine bay for boost leaks etc, panic was setting in, then the obvious occured. Lookes at the Near side wheel and the brake pad indicator was touching the disc, bent it back tested, noise gone, phew!!!!:D So now i got to get a set of pads instead of a set of tubs!!!!

Macca's been in max power, now its our turn. I know get max power to hire a track or airfeild, then let all us lot tear arse about on it while they take pics!!! Think that would please everyone and ensure a good turnout!!!:D

Your metal noise could well be plastic, check all the plasticbits and bobs under the bumper are attached well and not hanging down. Water leaks tend to run down the engine and all end up looking like they are comming from the same place, my water pump leak, was a bugger to trace. Easy way to find the leak is get some one to sit in it periodically revving it so you can have a good look round under the bonnet, often these cars dont leak on tickover, but only when you put some revs up to wizz the water round. Oh and watch your fingers near the fan!!!
