Has anyone ever been to this place in Birmingham? I am not considering a car from them, they just seem to have very cheap twin turbos advertised in the Autotrader.

The cars always LOOK ok from the little pictures, but I guess because of the price they are rubbish. Has anyone ever looked at one of their cars? What was it like?

Can a 3.5k tt be in 'stunning condition'? I would be very skeptical at this price. I know the answer is go and look, which I will do out of interest. Just interesting what the going rate is now for a zed- or at least what a reasonable price is now- or what people are actually prepared to pay.

No good putting a car on the trader at £6000 that sits for months and months, is there.

Avoid dealers in Brum for buying any type of second hand Jap car.........

I'll post a list of who to avoid a bit later..........

But Motor City, Stanley Auto's.........etc.....

Matty.

Kind of what I thought...

I am not actually looking- just browsing the Autotrader as you do and wondering about the state of a car selling for 3.5k. Clocked? Just in bad repair?

Sheds...........

Ill, unloved, uncared for, poor standard Z's.......I'd be shocked if they a had a good one!

It might actually be interesting to have a look to see what they are actually like for comparison purposes. I don't imagine they will sport the 'real' milage. Is it easy for these places to get BIMTA certificates for their cars? in other words, is a BIMTA certified car really worth it?

Just would like to add ALLIED CARS to Matty's "dealers in Brum to avoid:D "

Drove over 100 miles to see a car the dealer described as "stunning".....

..... It was rubbish, trim coming off, scratched paint and bad bad paintwork repairs.

I looked around their other imported cars to see if the zed was a one off, they were all sh1te!!!

I drove back down the M40 in a very very foul mood after wasting time and petrol:mad:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Rich,

Yeah.. I thought ah, well worth it for a compairson ( a comparison to what though.... Sh*te???)

I got there and the interior was dirty, ripped, very poor touch ups done (e.g. overspray).

Generally the MOST shabby looking cars ever!!!

My 2p worth.

Yet to find a dealer in Brum worth a note of praise so avoid them all.

I have test driven a few at different places and they were all 'bad' in one way or another but were described as 'stunning', 'perfect', 'great' etc, etc.....

Other areas to avoid for import dealers are Leeds and Nottingham especially ones with just mobile numbers as contacts, run for the hills!!

Matty.

That's why I was happy with Car Imports Direct in Bristol. Office, uniform, good knowledgable staff. OK, they were still 'car dealers' but you could just tell they were reputable. Clean cars, in good condition, a proper service and a warranty with the car etc.

Kind of answered my own question- find a place with reasonable cars, that when you see them, you know they are reasonable. Which is the reason I was happy to pay what was probably considered a premium for my car. It was actually in good condition.

Nameley anyone with the name of "Sahill", or "Gold Imports" or who according to company house do not exist!!!

Think "Veilside" is related to these too.

But not the PROPER Veilside, as in the company, just the spin off from Sahill Motors trading illegally under the same name, completely unrelated to Veilside, the company...
