Straight antifreeze?? I think you need a 50/50 mix with water for this time of year i think. If your draining, so save draining the cylinder banks (which I cant find) you can remove top rad hose and bottom hose (with bowl under it) then blow down the top hose that goes into the engine, this should get most of the old water out. When you top up be careful not to get air locks.

Dont forget when you refil it dont top it straight to the max mark on the dipstick, do it to the min (or even just below) then run the engine till warm, as the oil will heat up and expand. So you could end up with too much oil with a hot engine. Also remember to fill the filter before putting it on otherwise the level wil drop drastically whjen you start up. Another thing to remember, is in the colder weather its probably safer to run your car closer to the min level than the max, as on cold start ups the pressure of the oil is increased, if its topped to the max or overfilled you have a bigger chance of blowing seals etc.

I got a Blitz one off Macca for a tenner, think i got his last one though! Think the problem with the stock ones is when they are on the way out, they tend to let air in, not water out, thus causing your bubbling. Cant remember what the PSI of the blitz one is though i think its about 50% higher than the stock one.

I called Hyperformance in brum when i got my licence back as they said on their adany car, any driver, i had a 1.2 nova (group 3) they turned me down on the spot!!! Found out today that our firm pay your mileage if you need to use your motor for work related stuuf, meetings etc, they pay a whopping 15p a mile FFS, i worked out that if the zed was doing 20mpg it would be costing 18p a mile for FUEL ALONE!!! let alone wear and tear on a zed!!! Guess my car wont be doing many business miles!!
