Depends how its behaving ;)

I belive it takes 3.6l with a new oil filter, so if you buy a 4l container of oil, you will have enough left over for a 'top-up' if you need it. Buy top quality synthetic stuff though.

Thanks for the reply's people.

I was looking at getting Castrol RS or Magnatec.

Supposed to be 3.4l with oil filter, 3.0l without IIRC.

Don't overfill it.

Ok, thanks Andy. I will put 3.0l in and then add a bit at a time from there on.

Cheers.

If you are going up in oil quality, run flushing oil

for 'bout 20 mins. Then change filter.

Fill new filter with oil b4 fitting.

Beware of hot oil!

Sump plug is on offside.

Fit new washer to sump plug.

Dont forget when you refil it dont top it straight to the max mark on the dipstick, do it to the min (or even just below) then run the engine till warm, as the oil will heat up and expand. So you could end up with too much oil with a hot engine.

Also remember to fill the filter before putting it on otherwise the level wil drop drastically whjen you start up.

Another thing to remember, is in the colder weather its probably safer to run your car closer to the min level than the max, as on cold start ups the pressure of the oil is increased, if its topped to the max or overfilled you have a bigger chance of blowing seals etc.
