C'mon Macca get your thread lcking tool round this one before it ends in tears!!!!;) Whilst its still open i might aswell put my 2p's worth in. Auto's are prob the most common in 300zx, but more and more manuals are appearing these days. Auto boxes are reliable generally, if they atre J spec an aftermarket oil cooler kit is worth its weight in gold. My previous zed had no cooler, within 6 weeks the auto box cooked, my current zed has a cooler and nearly 18 months of ownership and no autbox probs so far!!(touch wood). Looking into the history of my car a couple of months after comming to the uk this suffered an autobox faliure and it was replaced and a cooler fitted at a total cost of nearly £1.5k in jan 2000.

No, by the front bumper, when i looked under the car i put them on the floor and never picked them up!! Wouldnt of been hard for even the most retarded theiving scumbag, considering the keys had a nice titanium key with 300zx etched into it!!! And i'd quite happily wear a hat with "W4NKER" on it for a week as long as i keep my zed!!! Phew!

I was a lucky bunny today, when i got to work i looked under my car cos sonething had been catching the floor on the speedbumps on the way, no big deal, a bit of plastic hanging down that needed screwing back up (now done). Anyway, I work in in a rairly rough bit of Coventry, and always like to park outside the shop, but there were no spaces so i had to park a couple of shops up. After being at work for about half an hour a couple of guys in Suits came in asking if anyone in here owned the 300zx, i poo'd my pants thinking someone had hit it, then the guy asked me if he could have a drive of it, i looked at him a little confused, then he said cos i could of if i wanted, and waved my keys at me!!! I cannot believe how lucky i was considering the amount of scrotes we get around there!!! Things like that kid of restore your faith in human nature :)

Stu if i can do it im damn sure you can, i saw your rust repair and that was well beyond a thermostat!! The fan is only 4 bolts, worth it for the extra room. Word of advice, once you drain the water off, if you are not doing the emptying of the water on the engine banks thing, i didnt cos i couldnt find the drain plugs!! put the loose bottom rad hose in a bucket and blow down the top rad hose (that goes into the engine) this should clear enough water to stop it p15sing out onto the timing belt when you pull the pipe off.
