HID headlights
THIS! The glass gets a nasty black film on that you can't really see unless you actually clean the lens. Clean the projector too, but try not to clean the reflector for the main beam, they have a tendency to tarnish really badly.

Red Lyon Christmas meet
Pretty much most days that except the 21st and 22nd as tentatively, I might be in the US. All other weekends I have nothing pressing that can't be rearranged. I won't be in my Z though!

Nurburgring
I've considered it as a stop-off point on my way to visit my sister in Munich, but have never had the time and always flown. Might consider this for next year as I loved my southern France road trip in the Z and wouldn't mind testing my car's top speed on the autobahn.

HID headlights
I'm just bloody fussy! Ha. 6000k is fine, but I think I'll be changing to 4300k.

HID headlights
I'd go for 4300k. I currently have 6000k....little 'too' blue. 4300k will be closer to an OEM look and also be brighter than the 6000k. I'll swap mine out one day for 4300k.

Some of my pics from Japan
This is the trip I might be doing next year. Mike only takes over a select number of people and he's already said yes to myself and a couple of guys from ProjectZ32 in Phoenix. The cost is very high, I think some $4,000 (not including flights), but so much is crammed in, luxuary hotels, a huge number of special trips and a visit to the Nissan Heritage museum that is via 'invite-only'...it's one of those 'once in a lifetime' trips. http://jdmchicago.com/wp/2012/12/nissan-enthusiast-japan-trip-part-1-of-6/ http://jdmchicago.com/wp/2012/12/nissan-enthusiast-japan-trip-part-2-of-6/ http://jdmchicago.com/wp/2012/12/nissan-enthusiast-japan-trip-part-3-of-6/ http://jdmchicago.com/wp/2012/12/nissan-enthusiast-japan-trip-part-4-of-6/ http://jdmchicago.com/wp/2012/12/nissan-enthusiast-japan-trip-part-5-of-6/ http://jdmchicago.com/wp/2012/12/nissan-enthusiast-japan-trip-part-6-of-6/ Vig, you'll have to show me the rest of your photos when you're this way next or I'm round your neck of the woods. Japan absolutely fascinates me. :)

Indeed! Mike Taylor is planning a trip for next year and we had talks about it at Branson Z Fest in Missouri back in June.

Cast exhaust manifolds.
AMS are a copy of the MSPs......if these are a copy of the AMS fannymoulds, be interesting to wonder what copies they are actually of. :) AMS products aren't best known for quality and fitment. Hope these have addressed that. :)

What do you guys think of this!!!
Things I love about this car : Wheels/stance/rear arches/colour Things I dislike about this car : Vented wings....I HATE vented wings. Granted, these aren't the awful cheese-grater ones that Zcentre sells, but I don't care for them, the dreary and cheap looking Greddy bumper, the black bonnet (Why?) and the piss coloured front fog lights. The car is 'nearly' there. With an Impul front bumper, non-piss coloured fog lights, stock wings and a 'same colour' bonnet, this thing would tick a LOT of boxes. As it sits, it needs quite a few things done to make it spot-on....IMO of course.

Some of my pics from Japan
Awesome Vig! I am 'potentially' going there next year to meet Yutaka Katayama and various other directors from Tomei, Nissan and Yokohama. For those that don't know, Yutaka Katayama is seen as the father of the Z car (AKA Mr. K). I've always wanted to visit Japan as I love the culture and the food, this seems like a very good excuse to finally visit!

If you need a little more clout, I am happy to help. Being a staff member on 3ZC, I might be able to get some commitment out of them.

Mass produced cars that are now rare
Yup, they have a really distinctive engine note and whilst I loathe the cars themselves, I have a strange fondness for them as my Uncle Yanni had a brand new one when Hungary was still under communist rule. He was/is quite wealthy for Hungarian standards (owns a new Mercedes E-Class now), but back then, this was all they could purchase. They didn't have a choice in colour and he was on the waiting list for quite a few years before one was delivered to him. So, I know how important those cars (despite their horrors) were to the people of the Eastern Bloc countries in the 70s and 80s. They are shit though, but I always have a warm feeling whenever I hear one trundle past....probably because I am being asphyxiated by the exhaust fumes!

Mass produced cars that are now rare
Not strictly true. The car you posted up was a 968 with a top speed of........wait for it....75 whole miles per hour! There is no 0-60 time listed, probably because the battery would expire in the stop watch before it ever hit 60, but it 'could' do 75! The later version could hit 81mph and there is a record of a 0-60 time. It's 20.8 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our Z32s would be at their terminal velocity by that time!

Mass produced cars that are now rare
My mother's side of the family is Hungarian and whenever we went over there when it was still a communist state (in the late 80s/and early 90s), all you'd see on the roads were Wartburgs, Ladas, Skodas, Trabants and all manner of nasty hateful eastern bloc / Russian nasties. Quite different over there now though, although you still see some of them about.

99 spec lights
Or these delightful items...

99 spec lights
I was gonna say before Dave got there, ZCentre's shipping prices are very high. MJP's are far more realistic.

99 spec lights
Pretty much. Haven't gone up much since I bought mine in '05. Certainly well worth the money for the look it gives the car.

I'd rather not!

As above, inner or outer joint will need replacing...or both if it's screwed completely.

Mass produced cars that are now rare
I remember the Talbot cars. The Horizon had the LOUDEST timing gear in the entire world. Hateful vehicles, more rattly than a CVH powered Ford!
