  1. You are keeping an eye on your coolant levels too whilst this is going on?
  2. You mean you're worst when you're on the blob!?
  3. Isn't it always? Bit like the people huh Kev! ha ;) No, not bad at all. I don't even think a wheelie bin was knocked over in my street. Certainly can't see any flooding. My Jetta doesn't have a lamp post on it and my garage hasn't been flooded. Complete tosh this 'storm' was. Nothing more than a wet fart!
  4. Just a bunch of rain. This 'storm' complete hokum!
  5. I am supposed to be in the area set to be worst affected, but all I have here is light rain. Got terrible wind, but that's of the rectal variety.
  6. Is this yours!? You put a tow bar on a Z to tow a caravan and I will hunt you down and set fire to your caravan! JESUS! £500 is a small price to pay not to have to have a caravan!
  7. You have a caravan Dave!?!?!? Bwhahahahaahahaah! :p
  8. Resonator = centre boxes. You can actually buy them as a component. But you can also order the labree systems without resonators (centre boxes). Just too darn loud and droany!
  9. These two words are incompatible in the same sentence. ;) Borla systems are pretty noisey too from those that I've heard. With regards to where to purchase, just check shipping costs with both. Z1 I think have better shipping rates, despite the product costing a little more.
  10. Many NAs I've heard with aftermarket exhaust systems sound raspy. I personally would look at just getting a custom one made and have it made as quiet as possible to eliminate the possibility of droan and/or rasp.....just don't go to one of those crappy franchise Powerflow type places, or even Powerflow themselves. hit/miss quality and poor materials. Avoid the AMS systems at ALL costs. Fitment is extremely sketchy at best. The Z32 NA that I drive in the US has a Labree system, which IMO, is one of the nicest sounding (externally) on an NA and you don't get the rasp that you get from the HKS systems. The labree system does droan a little bit at about 2,000 rpm, but the car is running without resonators. Make sure you have resonators otherwise you'll be hating on your car.
  11. My eyes, my eyes!! ARGH!
  12. Just been out in my Z for the last time this year. Locked away in the garage now until spring with a dust-sheet on. :)
  13. Low 20s for me at best and was my average from driving from Portishead to Toulouse. Car running @ 1bar with JD chip.
  14. Dry days in the winter are generally frost days and those days have salt all over the roads. It's rare to have a dry day where the roads are actually dry and salt free. I'd rather drive in the wet than on days where the roads had been salted. That shit is HORRID!
  15. Paul C's car. Bumper looks ok, just prep and paint.
  16. You might be able to dodge the showers! Not driven my Z for about 3 weeks now! SHITE weather. I want to try and take it out one last time before the end of the month as it'll be SORN then until April.
  17. Dinitrol is supposed to be one of the best you can get. http://www.dinitrol.co.uk/classic_cars.aspx
  18. ....and yes, all factory undersealing on Z32s was the same.
  19. Your car is an exception, not the rule! :) Agreed, absolutely. Japan's roads are sprayed with some sort of crushed volcanic silicate during winter months and those only tend to be on the northern islands. For that reason alone, I wish we had volcanoes over here! haha. It's the sole reason that I will never drive my Z in winter months, if I did, I may as well just hurl sodium carbonate and gravel all over it. UK winters absolutely destroy cars.
  20. It was more associated with UK cars, but most that are still on the road now have either had them repaired or are low mileage examples. We're seeing a lot more Jap specs rusting now and that number is increasing.
  21. Beat me to it John! Many years of experience in rebuilding highly complex truck gearboxes.
  22. Very interesting. I was always interested in what the older more generic setups were like. I have quite an early 'known' chip in my car and next year when the weather becomes better and after I've fitted a new loom, would love to get it mapped correctly.
  23. This 'might' be the wrong time and place for this. It is only a suggestion and I think it would ultimately benefit its members, but what would the position of the committee be in in terms of investment into producing things like this and ultimately opening a club shop supplying this on a not-for-profit basis to recoup costs? We have a club store over on 3ZC (US 300zx owners club forum), granted, the website is run completely differently, but we have a club store and offer group buys on various items that members would like. It could be an idea for the UK side of things to have product either sourced or locally manufactured and sold via a 300zx.co.uk store? Just a thought.
  24. I've never looked into body repair panels before as I've never needed any and are unlikely to (in terms of corrosion), so I didn't know, but I checked Courtesy Nissan and it appears the outer arch skins and sill panels are still available, as are complete rear quarters. http://www.courtesyparts.com/-c-882_883_1024_1025.html The diagrams however are a little bit 'missleading'. It appears to suggest that you can buy 'outer' wheel arch panels and 'inner'. Both however look like 'inner'. I am not sure whether the construction of the Z32 rear arch is of a triple layer as I've never hacked one to bits.
