  1. This was shortly after! I just wanted to get the last of the detritus out of the car from France. Still had the maps and an empty bottle of Orangina + my hiking boots in it.
  2. Targas went back on it! Was just cleaning the bits under the targas. :) I leave the windows cracked in it, the garage is BONE dry as it's incorporated into the house, so absolutely no dampness and it's naturally heated by the house, but still nice to have some air in the cabin.
  3. All SORNd now and I gave the car a wipe down before throwing a dust sheet over it and locking it away for the winter. I know, I know, I need to finish painting the garage floor. Bye bye - until next year! :)
  4. They look even worse in the flesh IMO. They're very very poorly finished and the fibreglass matting can be seen right next to the mirror glass, now it wouldn't be so bad if it was all hidden, but it's not. For something so expensive, the quality on them is dreadful. Every time you look in the mirror, you see this :
  5. The fog light switches in JDM and UK cars are in the same location. The icon is different on each though, so you'd have to fit an auxiliary switch so that you can operate them independently.
  6. US Spec fog lights are actually identical, well, when I say identical, visually they are. It's actually only the reflector that's different. You only need the lens which comes with the reflector, the main plastic base unit from JDM lights can be used. My fog lights are US spec, but I removed the US reflector and refitted my JDM reflector. Stupidly, I threw away the US ones. I wished I hadn't as I'd quite like my side lights in my S2 indicators now! Doh!
  7. Depends. If you have big SMICs, then yeah, scoops are best. If you have scabby fog lights, then go for it. If you have new fog lights, I'd say keep them. New fog lights look very fresh and clean.
  8. Can't wait to see this on your car Stevie. IMO it will compliment your Impul kit nicely and will complete that car. Sooooooo much better than that Greddy bumper. Get it fitted!! :)
  9. They really are awful. I've never liked them. The Bomex kit, despite its rarity has never been a flattering one.
  10. Don't spray the Veilside wheels yellow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared:
  11. Dave, I don't think you could get the Andrews wheel in a negative offset. Imagine they're a '+'. Pit, why would you want to paint the wheel arch white when the car is yellow? I'd paint them yellow to match the car. You could remove that bi-plane from the tailgate too while you're at it. ;)
  12. Fair enough, so you're planning on doing some work to get them to fit! Go for it! They're very rare wheels and quite sought after!
  13. You'll need some arch work with the rears. You'll definitely need the arches rolled and quite a bit. The fronts, you'll need to remove the arch liners and you'll need to fold the lip up.
  14. Depends what spec of wheel they are. You need to find the offset and widths of the ones you're looking at buying. Here they are on a friend's Z32 for reference. I can't remember what specifications his ones were.
  15. With all due respect to those that go and the membership on here, I've never really had the motivation to go to JAE. I did all the typical British 'car show in a field up North' things when I was in my 20s and quickly became disheartened with soggy fields and unpredictable weather. It's also a miserable drive from here, a REALLY miserable drive. There's a potential that I'll be overseas when Japfest is on too as Branson Z Fest is on at the end of May and I usually tie it in with 3 weeks in California and Arizona.
  16. I always make sure I'm out on Halloween. Fortunately, the kids round here are all really nice and always go round with their parents, but I can't be bothered to answer the door every 20 minutes.
  17. I'll likely be overseas.
  18. Seatbelts were built in batches. Because this could be the last of the 98 models, it could have seatbelts manufactured several years prior.
  19. With a different spoiler/no spoiler. QNO (pearl white) was painted on post 94 cars (series 3). This has blue tint glass which I think replaced the bronze tint on all series 4 models. There's no reason why this shouldn't be a 98 car as series 5 was built for most of that calender year, it was only late 98 that the 99 model year (series 6) was put into production. But without seeing the VIN and interior, it's hard to tell. Series 5 cars came with 99-spec style switchgear too (toggle style electric window switches. If it is a series 5, it would have a date of manufacture sometime in early 97 to the middle to back end of 98. The e/w switches would be the giveaway. If it didn't have those, it's likely it's a series 4. I'd say that car is an absolute bargain! The first thing I'd do however would be to remove those horrible ebay tail lights and fit some OEM clear front indicator lenses and 99 spec tail lights..
  20. That's a shame. Nice wheels though. Matt black always gives the appearance of being grubby.
  21. Good choice....as long as they're not black or white! :)
  22. One of Bigmincey's friends. Has lambodoors too.
