  1. I am a BIG fan of the Monza and always fancied doing a Lotus Carlton engined project Monza. These are SERIOUSLY cool cars IMO.
  2. Make sure you let me know when you'll be in Bath and I'll join you for afternoon tea or something. :)
  3. Cars I consider as retro classics that I think 'are' worth are all of the high performance Fords, the MK1 & MK2 Astra GTEs, (Nova GTE to a lesser extent) and all of the early high powered coupes like the Monza, Manta and such like, Merc 190s, BMW E30s and then all of the 'period' RWD Japanese coupes.
  4. Because (thankfully), they've turned back into the ferrous ore from whence they came. Or used for banger racers....where they belong (apart from the obvious high performance models).
  5. Better than your clutch!
  6. I doubt you'd ever be able to tell with any degree of accuracy as cars always seem to get 'found', plus there are multitudes of cars that have been off the road under long-term restoration or have been scrapped and the V5 not been sent off. There just is no way of telling....and what would you class as 'rare'?
  7. THIS! I may come to this!
  8. It sounds like a throttle position sensor issue (ie, it needs adjusting, not just cleaning of the contacts). Do you have access to ConZult or anyone with it near you? There is a way of setting up the TPS via voltmeter.
  9. It's no one's birthday today, so happy birthday to nobody!
  10. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173487-99-spec-bumper-fog-lights-or-scoops&highlight=switch Didn't think I'd gone mad! lol
  11. Eeek. Maybe it wasn't you....sure there was a thread the other day talking about JDM fogs and side lights.
  12. AndrewG has. I told you in another thread that the UK and JDM cars share the same switch (albeit with a different icon). You'd have to wire an aux switch to have them both operational and independent of one another.
  13. There are still plenty of poo ones about, why can't they get broken instead!? :(
  14. I like both visually. I wouldn't own a slicktop or convertible. Whilst I like both of those too, I really enjoy having the option of having lift out roof panels. I think the LWB looks more elegant with a sleeker roofline, but perversly, I like the SWB for different reasons.
  15. Agreed. I've sat in Zs with the Ganador and Bomex mirrors, your scope of vision is significantly less. OEM are perfectly proportioned both aesthetically and ergonomically.
  16. I guess it's harder to source. I managed to swap all of my glass and t-tops with blue-tint glass and had a new windscreen fitted. What would your native cars have come fitted with? They were all 2+2 NA cars weren't they?
  17. ....are you going to swap the glass out for blue-tint glass? Looks like one of your 1/4 windows is blue already.
  18. Love it! Genuine spoiler too! TT wheels would finish it off IMO. :)
  19. Damn you were lucky your Z didn't get totaled! Hope you manage to get that dent fixed.
  20. Option one if I had to choose. Option 2 is just plain ugly. You do realise that stock bonnet weighs about the same as the CF one?
  21. Take it down to Jimmer (Powerzed). You'll reap the rewards as you'll be returned with a quality and reliable Z. Mikey takes his there from Scotland and suggests it's worth every penny.
